Everybody was very friendly and helpful
Can always count on Bicycle Habitat! Changed my chain and brake pads when I was in a pinch
Friendly prompt service.
Too expensive for service provided
Staff was extremely rude, and not that knowledgeable. I ended up paying full price for shoes that were 50% online.
Amazing experience!
After looking at my receipt this morning I realized that I overpaid $24 on each of the two tires I purchased yesterday. I could have gotten them for $63 each at REI vs $87 each at your shop. The MSRP is about $74. I had a great shopping experience with the friendly and knowledgable salesperson, but I cannot recommend people to go to your store when you have such high prices on basic common items. High markup on a new bike - okay sure, understandable. But not on tires.
Your staff is super knowledge and helpful. Everything was explained clearly, and the work was done satisfactorily
10/10 experience. I did research on purchasing a tarmac sl7 sport for two months before pulling the trigger. I wish I had gone to the shop sooner. Justine was incredibly sweet at the front desk. She made some great recommendations and help accommodate my tight budget for such a big investment. Anthony was also a pleasure to talk to and helped me get a general fit on my bike before I left with my dream bike. I look forward to going back in for all of my repair maintenance and general bicycle needs or just to stop in and say hi and chat. No better bike shop in nyc. I couldn't be happier.
Everyone who works at Bicycle Habitat is incredibly knowledgable, enthusiastic, friendly and fair. They never try to upsell or get me to do repairs I don't need, which some other bike shops do. They explain everything and together we figure out what kind of bike or repair or product I need. Their repair people are also excellent and do a great job.
Knowledgeable and friendly team, great sales and pricing, worth the trip.
1 - The team was very attentive, even while the store was crowded.
2 - There was no sales pressure to buy.
3 - I purchased a bike and they offered up the right accessories, and added them on the spot.
4 - Was able to test ride freely with no time constraint.
Great service! Thanks
Quick and easy service
Great team. Knowledgeable in all aspects of the bike world. Great advice
Excellent products, consistently excellent service. The best in NYC.
Had an annual tuneup that was very thorough and well worth the expense; can ride my older and cherished bike with confidence.
I bring my bike in every 6 months for a full tune up. Staff and service are always the best. Thank you for serving the NYC cycling community.
The help I got was first class- Chad helped me out and recommended some gear he had used! He was 100% correct! We had a great talk and it’s nice receiving of help and care, especially in this day of robots and self-checkout! I will 100% be coming back to this store, and it’s perfectly located on my regular route too!
MIKE. . . . .!!!!
Professional attitude and performance.👍
The team here knows their stuff and makes sure you understand what they’re doing to fix up your bike. I trust them and appreciate their transparency and chillness - not always the bike shop vibe. Thanks!
Great shop, great staff/sales reps. Steven was super helpful and knowledgeable. Would recommend to anyone shopping for a bike in nyc. Good prices good people.
I had a disappointing experience with the service on my recent bike build. The technician who assisted me seemed rushed and not particularly open to questions. As someone new to electronic shifting, I asked for basic guidance, but the interaction left me feeling uncomfortable rather than supported.
The setup itself also felt incomplete. The bike was delivered with inner tubes installed, even though the DT Swiss ERC 1400 Dicut wheels and Continental GP5000 S TR tires are tubeless-ready. I understand that tubeless setup may be treated as an add-on service, but this was not communicated or offered as an option during the build process.
More concerning, the build quality did not feel up to standard. There was a persistent whirring sound while riding, and I experienced a flat tire within the first three miles. This raised concerns about the overall setup and attention to detail.
Because of this experience, I cancelled my follow up Bicycle Habitat fitting appt and ultimately went to another shop to complete a proper bike fit, convert the setup to tubeless, and do a full check to ensure everything was functioning correctly.
Clear communication and a more thorough build would have made a significant difference. As a customer investing in a new bike and learning new components, I expected a more supportive and detail-oriented experience.
Wide variety of products and great and efficient service.
Thank you for the very fine service! My bike is riding like a gem after getting new brakes and a tune up!
Michael was incredibly helpful and responsive in replacing my inner tube
Nice knowledgeable people
Friendly, knowledgeable, great service, very neighborly.

Chris, Brian, Libby, and Ericson could not have been more helpful in helping me find a new bike over the course of several test rides and a couple of days. They answered all my questions thoroughly and provided amazing recommendations. They also adjusted the bike perfectly to best work for my body. Will highly recommend bicycle habitat to anyone I know buying a bike!
