How did we disappoint you and what can we do to make things right?

I have had several recent disappointments -
1. Not having the same crew every week when specifically requested and told that this would be the case
2. Picture frame was broken in December; I sent an email with a picture of the damage, did not receive a response, and I had to call again - leaving a voicemail. I got a voicemail from someone at Merry Maids and I returned the call, again leaving a voicemail - since then I have heard nothing.
3. A hair clip was broken on this most recent visit (Feb 6) with no note. Additionally, the floors in the baby's room were not cleaned thoroughly.

To say that I'm severely disappointed is an understatement. I am planning to cancel our service with you.

The price is very competitive. They do a great job cleaning, and the office is very responsive. It's great how easy it is to communicate with the office and the maids that come to the house.

The woman who usually cleans for us does an OK job. The cleaner who came in November (Kate-Lynn) did a good job. But the cleaner who came last Thursday January 23, 2014 did not do a good job. Downstairs did not get vacuumed, the floor of the master bath did not get wet-cleaned, the living room was only partially vacuumed. Furthermore when we called about this the person who took the call was courteous and a little apologetic but we never heard back from anyone. We were having company and wanted everything to shine, but we had to redo the work ourselves.

I am sorry to complain again (this is the second time) and this time was not as bad as the last time I had to complain but I am still extremely disappointed.

The maid did not even clean the home office - they have done so (to a lesser or greater degree) every time in the past but this time the maid did not even enter the room. Also, more minor things but still very annoying - they didn't dust under the desk in the living room - there was even a dead house plant leaf under there that they couldn't have missed if they even looked and in the master bedroom there were cobwebs over one of the lamps - COBWEBS!!! - that is the most basic housekeeping. There may be more things but I just don't have the heart or energy to inspect the house. Nor should I have to.

I am going to give Merry Maids one more chance but if it isn't a whole lot better I am afraid I am going to have to find another service.

What could we do to improve?

Our last cleaning was excellent -- although it was one woman (I had requested two) she did a fabulous job and was here a good two hours. But I still can't give Merry Maids the top rating because I think the price is too high. What bothers me about it the most is it prevents me from tipping most times -- the hard workers pay for the corporation's greed.

What do you like about our services and the products used in your home?

Clean and Professional. I appreciated that the maids take the time to straiten up some of my mess i.e. clothes and clutter. Some maids just clean around the clutter. Straitening it up goes a long way toward feeling like my place is not only clean (surfaces free of dirt and dust) but fairly well organized too.

I wish Merry Maids would pay more attention to detail in cleaning. I often notice many spaces that are not thorougly cleaned.

It is not the workers, it is the people in the office. they never return my phone calls. I asked specifically to have the same girl, Sue, return to my home each week. I want my dog to be familiar with who is coming each week. I want the same person each week. Plus, my breed of dogs doesn't like men and a man came to my home. This same man did not know how to make a bed...the sheets and blankets were just placed on the bed, they were not tucked in.

How did we disappoint you and what can we do to make things right?

We were very disappointed in the cleaning we had this past Monday. The gentleman that was here did not listen to our requests or go through the typical cleaning we get. He did not do a thorough job vacuuming and he did not change the sheets. I discovered this morning that he broke the trash can we have in the master bath. He did some of our dishes after being asked not to. Last night I discovered that instead of cleaning a sheet pan, he just put in back in the oven. Very strange experience overall and not indicative of the typical level of service we've come to expect from Merry Maids. I did speak to Shawna yesterday morning and was able to pass some of this along. I also requested that this individual not come to our house any more.

The girls who clean my house always do a great job, but when I have had problems in the past and ask for a manager to call me back no one ever does! I find that this is not a good way to run a business!
