We live in the Santa Teresa neighborhood of San Jose, and our tap water quality is subpar, particularly with heavy metal contamination. We have both a water softener and a filter. The water softener has dramatically reduced the mineral buildup in our showers and plumbing, and the water filter ensures our water tastes good.
