What our clients think of us!

Our experience was disappointing. We are currently in the process of hiring a service provider through private means and, as a result of our experience as a publicly-funded client, we will not be selecting Nurse Next Door. While the care-aids were kind, attentive and diligent in their work, the client service from the care designer team was disappointing. There were multiple occasions where our file was not updated with our requests. We were also advised that publicly-funded clientele received different priority over the private clients, which was surprising. There was also an instance where we were left without support for nearly 24 hours because someone called in sick.
Generous, friendly service every time!
My “nurse next door” VERY capably takes on whatever I need help with, listens to my instructions very well, and somehow manages to keep me comfortable and safe while helping with showering and washing my hair. She’s also been great on food prep for my dinner. She’s quietly efficient and very easy to have around.
There were/are so many different people coming into my house. It takes so much time and energy to tell each one where everything is and what I need and want that often i could just about as well do it myself. Of course I'm new at this and often have a hard time knowing what I need help with, I know everyone is doing their best so I'm not blaming anyone, just stating how I feel. :-) Thanks for all your hard work.

The person really made me feel well card-for during her brief stay at my home and I enjoyed talking to her.
The service provided by Danielle has been top notch. Her willingness to help out in a variety of ways has been very appreciated. We are grateful for the assistance and would recommend the service highly!
We really appreciate the care my mother-in-law law. receives..
We are also happy with the 'extra touches ', visiting with her, doing nail polish and more!

I find them very helpful and kind. They do a good job.
I really like Nurse Next Door but this last time I used your services I wasn't impressed with the person I got to take care of me. This is why:
1. She forgot to call me for our appointment, I had to track her down myself.
2. She forgot to use my cellphone to contact me in Vancouver, instead she called my home number in Yukon so that got my husband upset and worried
3. She was on time to pick me up but she spent more time on her cell phone than helping me get to the hotel
4. She left me at the steps of the hotel instead of assisting me to my room.
I was left feeling like I was an inconvenience
We have sent letters and I've sent emails back to Nurse Next Door about my moms account. Everything needs to be sent to her via Canada Post not emailed to me as I don't look after my mom's account. We keep receiving emails and I don't actually know if my mom has received any of these letters by post. In our letters, we have never even been contacted by anyone so I have to idea if they have been received??? Communication within this company is horrible.
I love nurse next door because they are take care of patient, doing very good job ,always on time,.....
Too many issues with accounting department and staff not following safety protocol such as wearing masks while assisting our family members. Not enough choices of different staff available. Too many cancelled appointments. Though my mom does like her caregiver there are some issues wanting there as well. My sister and I seem to have to micromanage everything.
If NND wasn't the only choice we have we would definitely look elsewhere.
Jennifer is great. She is good at caring for First name removed and for keeping him company.
The service is excellent but the price is a little high.
Josie is a very kind and considerate person as well as professional. I feel very lucky to have her come to my home every day

The level of care and service that I receive from my nurses.
The staff is always cheerful. They are helpful and do their job well. They are able to help with some questions as well. A very good service.

The nurses were punctual, polite and friendly
Regular reliable service
Cheerful, informative and professional service.
Communication
cost and job scope
Because my experience was so satisfactory I would do it again and have already encouraged others to do it.
Poor selection of employees.
First woman spent her whole time playing with my mother's cat when she wasn't talking non-stop. My mother went to her room to get some peace and quiet.
The replacement spent 2 hours texting then going home an hour early because she was allergic to cats. This being a holiday we expected a credit for that time. She went home not sent home.
I have called numerous times to talk to someone, sent emails yet no one has contacted me until I received this survey. I will spend every chance I get giving your company bad reviews on every social media site I can. I want that hour credited to my credit card. Promptly!!!
The nurses were caring and professional.
Great service! Easy to setup for my mother, relieved a lot of stress to know a caregiver is assisting my mother with meals and chores, and companionship. My mother really likes her caregiver too.
Piece of mind by being able to speak to professional about the therapy and my wife's overall health.

I am horrified that you mislead the general public with you business company name “Nurse Next Door”. I was under the misguided impression that your company would be sending a nurse, an nurse’s assistant or student nurse to help with elderly patients, not people who have a basic education and are not able to help clean or look after a senior citizen. I would never recommend your company to a friend, relative or college. Hardly, I ask do you want good care or poor, unreliable and untrained people looking after our most vulnerable family members? Please take me off this survey unless you are willing to change your company’s practices when dealing with the elderly
