Reliable, durable and fun to ride!

Well, I've designed and built a lot of bikes in my life. I've ridden thousands and thousands of miles; and so on. I'm 74 now and decided for the first time to buy instead of build. I bought a used Electra Townie for the comfort of the peddle-forward design for being some what like a recumbent in comfort. It's a fun ride! I'd like to see it come with front gear capability as well for a greater gear range.

Anyway, the first accessory I bought for it was a rear rack. I was not only impressed with the efficiency of the shipment from Trek, but the rack is a good solid build for a good solid price. It's nice having someone build it the same way you would build it yourself. Good, all-around, job!

The bike is great, it arrived quickly at my local bike shop and has performed well.

I ordered bicycle accessories from trek.com and had them sent to my local trek retail store. The staff there put them on my new bike that I had ordered and I picked it up later that week. It was a wonderful experience. I had no problem whatsoever.

Everything was seamless. Honestly a 10 out of 10 experience.

First I got a great deal on a used, but '26, model, bike with a reason of light scratches (which I've yet to find btw). Then the shipping was phenomenal, I had the bike assembled and ridden within 20 hrs of placing the order. Packaging was really good, and there was about $50 worth of tools included to finish assembling the bike. The only issue I had was in the description of the bike it mentioned a bottle cage was included and I did not receive that which actually gave me an opportunity to sample your customer service right away. The customer service agent who helped me was great, sent me out a nice water bottle cage and even snuck a bottle in there for a nice surprise when I opened the box.
Overall I simply could not be more satisfied with the decision to purchase a Trek bicycle, the first new bike I've purchased since I rode my new Schwinn out of the showroom in '95. Thank you
