I purchased two Trek Verve+2 4S gen 3 bikes: one for me and one for my wife. I've owned several earlier versions of the Verve+. The bikes were very fairly priced and well built. Service at my local shop (Trek in Geneva, NY) is exceptional.
I have been a customer of Trek since the mid 1980s. That should tell you enough. Every bike in my household is a trek.
Just seems to be a great bike and as a 60 year old male, I finally listened to my wife and got a new bike that I don't have to cross my leg over the bar like most men's bikes. Scott at Two Wheeler Dealer here in Wilmington N.C. showed me a Trek Verve 1 Low Step that was on sale new and after getting a different seat, back rack and water bottle holder it is just the perfect bike for me. My wife has a Townie Low Step Pineapple color 7D I got back during Covid that is in perfect shape and my purchase has allowed us to start riding again along the City Trails Networks close to our house together like we use to...great purchase and I am typing this after just getting back from an hour ride we do several times a week. Very happy and Scott was very helpful, Joe Newton...oh and I really like that Lava Red color!

I've had my bike for about 2 months now, and it's done very very well. I didn't realize how much I was struggling in those headwinds! I love the fact that it looks just like a normal bike so people don't give me odd looks going down the trail. The mileage has been a wonderful, I can definitely use it for long rides. The mileage registered on the bike itself is the mileage you can have when you need it. So if you're on the flats you won't use your mileage, but when you go up hills or you're caught in a headwind that's when you'll use the registered mileage. I've gone 55 miles at a time and not used 50% of my battery. Outstanding!

Can get original parts for a 15 year old bike easily and at a fair cost. The bike has been awesome and if it ever needs replacement, it will be replaced with another trek!
