The instructors are awesome. Challenging but encouraging to go at your own pace.

Love the facility, the nice staff, the variety in classes offered. I wish there was more than 1 water fitness class on weekday evenings. Everything else is fantastic!
I have always said that I love the Y. It offers a variety of classes and a strong sense of community. I'm glad to be a part of it and will help to support its mission as a volunteer, when I am able.

I use mostly two areas, the pool for water aerobics and Thrive activities, especially jigsaw puzzles other than during the summer months. I would attempt the Thrive trips but my schedule is books way out and I need like 60-90 days to put in something new. I have two meetings the same day and time as this month's trip to Stagville in Durham. I know others who wanted to go but didn't know ahead of time. They have asked me if I know how they can get on the Thrive emailing list and I told them there isn't one yet. I recommended they just follow the Aquatics Facebook Page. I was able to post a recent member's death notice so members of her classes could consider attending her memorial. I like the St. Patrick's Day social and there could be other such socials. I won't be going to the State Fair as that isn't something I care about. I think folks should come downtown to visit a tour of Dix Park.
I have in the past also suggested NIA as a class. It could be late afternoon for when teachers get out of school and could attend. I would like to attend Kelly's Dance class but it is right at noon which isn't good for my schedule. I would like to see more adult Dance type classes.
A E Finley has most of the equipment that I need to do my best most complete workout!
The staff are very friendly, the environment is clean and bright with lots of natural light!
And lastly, the steam room and sauna are simply outstanding! Being able to enjoy a few mins in the steam room after a great workout...ah, there is nothing better! Thank you!
I love the facility. It feels new and modern. Everything is kept clean and orderly. Lockers are larger than other Ys
One main reason I go to Finley are the steam and sauna rooms. Kerr only has steam.
All in all, it’s a great facility with modern, well maintained equipment. Great staff too!

I like the Thrive classe, especially chair yoga. Also, Finley has great equipment for workouts and the staff are really nice. Great place!
I like that you pay one monthly fee and can attend as many classes or use equipment at no additional charge.

The A. E. Finley YMCA is always a great place to be! Lots of class choices, the pools and equipment are clean and all the staff members are amazing!!!
Wonderful experience and approachable for the kids. Nice structure. Way too many girls on fall soccer teams. 17 is too many.
Location, variety of services, excellent facility w new equipment, and most important to me, excellent services provided by staff and by volunteers.

We're so happy to be a part of the A.E. Finley YMCA family! Our three children have been on the YOTA Swim Team since they were young. They love swimming, team activities, and in their free time, they participate in other team sports like soccer and basketball. My wife and I not only enjoy watching our children grow up at the YMCA, but also enjoy using the facilities for our own health.

The coaches and staff are all very friendly and helpful. It’s a great program for children to learn sports without a lot of pressure. We love the focus on sportsmanship, teamwork, learning, and positivity.
