It is a great please to exercise. However, I've been waiting for more than four years for a a spot at Camp GRACE to my special needs boy. This seems to be impossible. I applied this year on February 4, 2026 and no one gave me a response. I also asked for any after school programs for special needs and the response was negative. I would like to have my son more included in your programs.
I was a member of the YMCA for many years, and it truly felt like a second home. A few years ago, my husband experienced a serious heart issue while working out on the treadmill, which ultimately led to open-heart surgery. Through his insurance, he received a complimentary membership to O2 Fitness that also included me, so we both joined and stayed there for several years.
Although I appreciated O2 Fitness, I found myself missing the YMCA—the friendships I had built, the welcoming atmosphere, and the sense of community. Even though the YMCA costs more for me, I decided to renew my membership because it’s worth it.
The facility is always clean, the staff and members are incredibly friendly, and I love the wide variety of activities and workout classes they offer. The diversity of the classes keeps exercise enjoyable and motivating, and being back at the YMCA feels like coming home.

Every time I go to the Finley Y I have a positive experience! It truly enriches my mind, body and spirit.
I enjoy pool classes and have been doing water books at Finley for over 20 yes.
Staff works very hard. A lifeguards are wonderful.
The people. The members, instructors, councillors, lifeguards, and staff. Everyone associated with the Y is welcoming.
The staff are extremely helpful and pleasant. The equipment is maintained very well.
There is one aspect that, as a veteran, is very disturbing. Our American flag that is located at the soccer fields is left on the flag pole at night without a light shining on it. A light needs to shine on the flag during the night or it needs to be taken down at sunset. I have notified the staff regarding this situation and I have not seen anything done to resolve the situation. Please give this the proper attention!

It’s a much better Y than Taylor in Cary. Better space and better equipment. I do feel you need for leg machines. You can hardly get on them.
The staff and instructors are friendly and supportive, the classes offered for seniors are diverse, and the facility is well-maintained and offers a great variety of equipment and spaces.
I like the members, we have made many friends here. There were a few times I felt people who complained ruined it unfairly for others.
The staff are very friendly and the trainers are awesome. I’m very glad we joined.
We love how engaged the counselors are with the kids, so much positive energy and everyone is so patient. They all seem to truly love working with children!
This was our first time at Finley Day Camp and our first drop-off was a little difficult. Our son was nervous and needed a bit of time to settle in. The Staff were so kind and patient with him, and coaxed him to join in with the rest of the campers. When I picked him up at the end of the day, all he could talk about was the fun he had and how he was excited to return. Each staff member we have encountered has been enthusiastic about their job (despite the record heat!), polite, and so welcoming. We cannot say enough about how wonderful this experience was for our son and we will certainly plan to return next summer!
When I joined, I found Laurie at the front desk very helpful. She even went to the lockers with me and showed me how to use the combination lock. Above and beyond what I expected!
We’ve been going to the Finley YMCA Day Camp for years. Both of our boys really enjoy going. They have made so many friends over the years.
My son loves going to camp at the Finley YMCA. He looks forward to it every summer. I love it because I know he is safe and having fun with his friends and counselors.

Staff and class instructors are great. Facilities are good and well maintained . Members are friendly.
Parking has been an issue at peak hours and continues to be a problem. I have 3 dents in my truck this year from adjacent vehicles dinging my vehicle with their doors. Its worse now because the outside pool is open. We need more parking !
Facilities are easy to navigate, staff is very friendly and helpful, membership fees are reasonable.
Friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Welcome to all, and something for everyone.
One suggestion: make the walking pattern around the gym more obvious. As an 80-year-old 5ft 1in women, I feel I am taking my life in my hands when I walk the track. People come charging in from all doors in all directions, from the outside and from the inside, nearly knocking you over. It is used as a cut thru from people leaving Studio 1 to get to the washrooms, walking the wrong way. People come charging in from the washroom area. Also, people doing weights etc in the corners encroach on the walking track. Suggestion: more and larger arrows showing the walking direction.
Upkeep of the facility. The staff is always warm and welcoming. Overall just great!
My kids love the pool at this location, the deck is very spacious and the life guards are very attentive
Everyone is friendly and there are lots of options for classes.
