The outdoor pool is excellent
1. Counselors were excellent and engaged. 2. Outside all day. 3. Learning to make friends with all different types of people.
Phenomenal staff; cleanliness and good choice of classes
ALTHOUGH I wish there would be a Tai Chi Class and more Chair Yoga classes
My child said that camp has been the best part of his summer!
My son had a great shmmer
My kids had the best time every year they went to Finley Day Camp. We came back year after year b/c of the well organized and fun camp experience
I love Finley YMCA! There is a diversification of classes that is unique to fit all abilities. I would love a class that was tailored for people with osteopenia/osteoporosis.
Our son had a fabulous experience at YMCA Day Camp. He made new friends, enjoyed arts and crafts, and learned important life skills. We saw his confidence blossom throughout day camp and appreciate the loving environment the staff worked so hard to create. Thank you!
Friendly staff. Clean environment.
Wonderful outdoor pool; very helpful & informative lifeguard working there.
Love the staff, love the instructors! Love the feeling of family ❤️
The classes that are offered, the friendly staff, clean & well organised facility.
The staff has been very welcoming and helpful to me as a newcomer. I am very pleased.
Our son had a great time at A.E.Finley Camp GRACE. I like how he got to work with a variety of different counselors over his two weeks. I am especially grateful for all the work that the staff did with him in the pool. It has made a difference in his swimming skills and he really enjoyed getting to swim. He was excited to go to camp every day.
We love the Finley Y and rarely miss a week without stepping foot on the campus!
Friendly, kind, knowledgeable staff. Thrive members are so kind. The Y is such a welcoming place for all.
My insurance pays for it. Very expensive for normal person
Love the class instructors and my Y friends
The kids are always hot, tired, and dirty, in the best way possible. I know that any programming being provided is absolutely more developmental than what I could offer at home with a sitter. Opportunities to meet new people and try new things abound, along with the comfort of a familiar place and staff that returns year to year. Continuity of care and safety are assured.
Thank you for opening at 9am on Sundays and adding earlier classes. It is great to get in early and actually get to enjoy the rest of my day.
LOVE the new Sunday class times of a 9:15am rotating class and then Brenda's MetCon at 10:15am. People now have a variety of time slots on Sunday.
And THANK YOU for putting step challenge back into the rotation!!!!! Step challenge is still the most challenging class for your your mind and body, and so much fun! An hour flies by and you get a great workout.
There were so many caring counselors to help with the kids. My child in particular is slow to warm up and no one made him/me feel like we were bothersome. He had a blast. It felt like all of the details were paid attention to.
Having childcare onsite while I workout is a huge benefit. AE Finley also has a well trained, caring, and friendly staff. While the Y membership is expensive, the benefits of having quality fitness classes and world-class fitness equipment onsite is a huge benefit that outweighs the cost.
First, I absolutely love this Y. The staff are delightful and engaging. One always feels welcome, wheather at the. main facility, indoor or outdoor pool. I would highly recommend.
With that said, my seconday comment is for the aquatics director, Linda Sing. On Friday, July 31st I arrived for the 9:00 aqua class. Kara's class was in session at the other end of the pool. As her group was working out between the deep and 4 foot area, as some ususally do, I sat on the stairs, specifically the 2nd stair and splashed water on myself, as I do every Friday. However, on the 31st, Tyler, a guard I'd not seen prior, turned, and in a rude tone said, "get back on the platform." Glared at me until I moved up one step to sit on the platform w/feet in the water. I was stunned, and he kept glaring.
And then, 3 mins later a group of older women stood in the pool, as well sat on the second step as I had in the water, Tyler saw them and absolutely nothing was said. And so I called to Tyler and said, aren't you going to say something to them, they're in the water. He responded, What? You can get in the water, and continued to behave as if his direction to me never happened. I responded and said, don't even try it. Continued saying, what, etc., until I finally said, Dude, don't even.
I share this incident because I love this Y system, especially this Y, the instructors, and the lifeguards I've experienced or interacted are fantastic. And though I've experienced a few incidents of racial behaviors from members, I've had nothing but warm and welcoming experiences from staff.
Needless to say, Tylers small act has made me feel more cautious and a little less safe at A.E. Finley. I've seen him since when I work out at the pool, and I'm now more cautious when he's on duty.
I absolutely love the classes and the instructors. They are wonderful. There is such a great variety. The only class I wish you guys had was body balance, however, I understand it would cost more for LesMils.
It has such a great community of people
The instructors are so inviting and inspiring 😎
Yoga
They make you feel like one of the family !
I am a swimmer, the guards are always respectful and friendly .
