This whole change over of how to handle commissions was not necessary. The wheel was not
broken but maybe needed a little repair. Commission Rates were always up to the Seller.
He could have offer instead of 2 1/2 % he could had offered 1/2 % or a small dollar amount $500 or $1000 dollars to the buyers agent. The ball was always in the Seller's Court.
This new way of offer "concessions" is just another way of doing it.
Why not put "concession" of 2 1/2% instead of Commission on the Listing sheet.

The opportunity to take stay current on topics and education that impact me and the industry by taking numerous classes. I like that classes are in person and on Zoom since I can not make all in person classes. I like the variety of classes.

Training and I like to remain loyal -I have been in the industry since 2001 and have had opps to switch to other associations but like it here. :)
Not happy with the google maps in connectmls if Mainstreet has anything to do with it.
The entire team is professional, knowledgeable and very helpful whenever I call for assistance! I’m glad they’re available to guide us during this transition that begins on August 17th.
I like the association but I'm very disappointed that the NAR's president sold the buyer's agents under the bus with the settlement. If it weren't for the buyer's agents a lot of these properties wouldn't sell. Everyone knows that the buyer's barely have enough to get a down-payment let along pay closing cost. Most of them ask for a closing cost credit to help defray that cost. He should have taken a vote on that from the members before he agreed to do that. If a seller does not want to use the help of a realtor that's fine.
Well this is not about what I like, it’s what I don’t like.
This past Saturday, 8/10/24, the MLS was down for several hours mid/late afternoon until mid evening. I haven’t seen any notifications or explanations from anyone I pay dues to/for related to what happened.
Also would like to see NAR dues optional, don’t see what value they bring to me, especially when everyone I pay dues to is showing us agents how to bring value to OUR customers to justify my paycheck!!!

The officers of our association always keep us prepared for upcoming changes. They offer a number of classes, sessions, Q and A to make sure we have adequate knowledge and resources to stay informed. I just wish they would get together with Sentrilock to offer a class since it has changed so much.
