I was looking to purchase a Trek bike for my husband, and we live in the Crosslake, Minnesota area. We shopped in Brainerd, but the inventory was small. I am familiar with Penn Cycle, as I grew up in Bloomington, Minnesota. I looked online and noticed Freewheel was the former Penn Cycle location in Bloomington. I am familiar with Erik's Bikes, but did not see the Trek line on their website. I called the Bloomington Freewheel store and spoke with Riley. I was told there were 17, of the model we wanted, in stock, and the entire process was very smooth. Great customer service. Crosslake is a 3 hour drive away, so we arranged for our son to pick the bike up. The pick up was seamless. The kick stands were on back order, so I was given a discounted price, and it was added to the order. We were notified when it came in, and the store gladly shipped it to us in Crosslake at no cost to us. My husband loves the bike and rides 20+ miles daily. I have already recommended Freewheel to friends. Keep up whatever you are doing, as it is working very well. Thank you for your wonderful service and attention to your customers!

Great quality products and stellar staff! Best customer service in the metro area! We’ve always received the same high level of service whether we purchased a kick stand, upgraded tires, got a tune-up or invested in high end bikes. The shop has a great atmosphere because everyone in the shop is so passionate about cycling. The staff is patient, knowledgeable, courteous and generous with their time. We appreciate that the sales and technical staff are always focused on finding the right fit (products) for our family.

Did a good job replacing front wheel and tune up bike rides nice.

I had originally gone to Eagan to have a flat repaired. I called the day before to ask if I needed to make an appointment and was told it wasn't necessary. When I arrived I was told they didn't have the tube I needed. With there being a shortage I would have thought they'd ask what size I needed when I called. I asked if they could check the Bloomington store - he looked and said they had 2. I asked if he could call to confirm and hold one for me and was told he couldn't do that. I drove to Bloomington and found out they also didn't have the tube I needed. I believe it was Blake who helped me and said they had tube with a presta valve that would be my only option at this point. He was very helpful and explained to me how the valve worked and also showed me how to take off the front brake cable & wheel so next time I can just bring in the wheel. I would highly recommend the Bloomington location. I typically visit that location but with the ongoing construction the Eagan location is more convenient. I will not be going to the Eagan location in the future.

Very helpful sales person and quick service. We bought a Trek Marlin for our granddaughter and it was a great experience. In and out in under 20 minutes - including a test ride and mounting a kick stand. Can't beat that! Thanks Freewheel.
