The staff are very willing to share information about their products without a pushy sales pitch. Even if your big and out of shape like me, they treat you like a king. I bought an entry level mountain bike for my daughter around Christmas vacation. She loves the sport, especially when she beats the boys while racing. After my daughter crashed during a race, I took her bike in for a safety check, no charge. I like Folsom Bike so much that I bought a mountain bike for myself and a car rack yesterday. We went out last night and had a blast. I felt like a kid again. I must have visited the store at least six times before buying my bike. The staff were very patient with all my unknowledgable questions. After driving myself nuts looking on the internet, I knew the bike I needed was the one recommended by a staff member months earlier. The bike fits my budget and how I'm going to use it.

I was shopping for shorts. I have not purchased shorts in a very long time and the product designs have changed a great deal. The sales clerk, Travis, was very helpful in explaining the benefits and designs of each product. Also, I found a bag that fits on the top tube of my bike. I have been looking for this particular bag and it is hard to find. Thank you to Travis for a pleasant and educational shopping experience. I am a member of the Sacramento Wheelmen Bicycle Club.
Folsom Bike is the closest LBS to us. We have used their services for our 5 different bikes ever since they opened up. We have come to know many of the mechanics by name. They do have a turn over in mechanics, but they all seem to know what they are doing and we have never had a follow up with a repair or product that they didn't take care of right away - most of the time everything is fine with repairs. They have built up 2 bikes for us with the parts we wanted - offering suggestions to possibly make the bike a better ride. We are also in the process of having them "rebuild" our tandem and the time they have taken to source parts, supply us with information and discuss making the changes we want to do has been very helpful. I appreciate that they give our riding club a discount on store products to compete with internet prices. That keeps me coming back, knowing that the follow up service they provide is worth the little more we spend at our LBS, Folsom Bike. It is worth it to have a shop like this in our community.

I'm very impressed with the service. Quick turnaround for bike repairs. My bike was fixed quickly when I had a last minute issue that came up before a big event.
The prices are very fair. Sometimes I feel like I haven't paid enough for the work, turn-time, and service.
I also appreciate the store hours. The doors are open later than other shops which allows more time after work for drop off or pick up. It's always nice to go to a shop that reduces the stress level of a busy day.

What an awesome bike store! Josh and James were so helpful when my tubeless tire failed! in the time it took to have a great cup of coffee James changed my tire and washed all of the goopy latex stuff off the bike! I have visited several times with similar issues, and have always had a great experience! Tubeless road tires...the jury is still out!
I like the variety of bikes you have and friendly staff and it’s a plus to have an in-house coffee and pastry shop.
