Though the products are largely available across many bike shops, the level of client service is exceptional. There is both a very high degree of expertise and, more so, care and compassion. In my case a couple of conversations (via phone and email) led me to save money in the near term as well as provided an alternative and better product solution when the initial product ordered was not available from the manufacturer. I’ll be going back to Sweet Pete’s as my bike shop of choice.

Quick service
Timely shipping. Friendly service. However, price showing on Google was discounted to $190 but at checkout the price was $255. I called about this and a staff member noticed the discrepancy also. Would be nice to get back the difference.

Everything was good about my experience. Your shop struck me is more of a premium experience which was useful when working with a bike that requires more expensive/ complicated parts (hydraulic brakes, interior hubs etc). If a friend had a bike that had simpler parts, I would be more likely to recommend the closest trustworthy bike shop.
As an aside, i am willing to pay for a premium but I wasn't sure what I needed which means it would be easy to overcharge me. Showing me the part that was replaced and giving me a 2 minute explanation of how it is broken and needed to be replaced would help me build trust that the repair was truly necessary.
We like the people - which is key. Brent is an expert and took the time to explain our options. Options that would be best for my wife and I so we will be happy with our investment. The store is cool and has 'everything biking' that one might be searching for. Can't say we love the location or the parking scenario but the product selection and the service made up for that BIG Time. This was a large investment, so all of the above is crucial. A 10 out of 10 referral. 2 new Trek Verve+3 Lowsteps in our garage awaiting a change of season! Thank you.
I got a part that wasn't widely advertised. I like that the shop is in Ontario. I like free shipping over the minimum order amount.
Product availability and selection is good. Prompt delivery of the order
Your prices appear to be inflated. After purchasing my products I found the same products from other Canadian retailers that offer free shipping at drastically lower prices.
I was annoyed by this and considered returning the products as per your return policy and re-purchasing them elsewhere.
I’m not talking a few dollars. This is $20-$50 difference.
Park tools ATD-1.2: $25 difference (Primeau Velo)
Park Tools TW 5.2: $50 difference!! (Primeau Velo)
Park Tools SBS-3: $20 difference (Bicicletta)
For the three products I ordered, I paid $95 more than I should have because I trusted you as a local bike store and Trek retailer.
I’ve since looked at other products and it’s all the same. I can’t justify buying anything further from Sweet Pete’s when I can just order from Primeau Velo or Bicicletta for the same product and free shipping.
