Pete's shop is a great place for bikes. Everyone is super nice and approachable. Pete himself was incredible to work with, he helped me out after my first bike was stolen, empathizing with me and making sure I got a new bike I was happy with and taught me about some better locking and tracking solutions. He went above and beyond and I can't say enough about how grateful I am. Best bike shop ever!

Poor customer service.
I came to pick my lezyne mount and needed an allen key to install it.
You have a tool box in the middle of the room. 
I've parked my bike near it and thought to use an allen key to install the mount quickly. It literally takes 2 mins.
One of your representatives passed by and asked me what am I doing here with confusion and frustration. "No hello, how are you or do you need some help?". I explained that I just have bought a mount and need to quickly install it.
This representative then started telling me how it's not allowed to touch tools and that they may be gone after I touched them.
I would suspect that the representative thought I am about to steal the allen key?!?! I've biked all over Toronto and European countries and never been accused in stealing the $4 allen key...
I politely tell person that he shouldn't be worried and I won't touch his "expensive" tool, and grabbed my own Park Tool Folding Hex Wrench from my bag and installed it.
This is my first and probably last visit to your store considering how you treat an experienced rider in the store. The whole cool vibe about your store on the entrance was destroyed.
This is customer service 101 and was executed extremely poorly. 
Now I am not gonna cry a lot about it. In fact, I already forgot about this. It's just your review shows up in my email.

In this case, I rushed to order a bike that was on sale only to realize that it was a commuter bike rather than a mountain bike. I was very happy with how easy it was to cancel the order. We'll definitely be buying a mountain bike from Sweet Pete's.

Your repair team was professional, communicated well and got the job done! There was one hiccup in that a part was inadvertently broken in the shop but the shop took responsibility, informed me, replaced the part at no charge. Although the shop might have lost money on that repair, the value of the way the error was handled bought the shop continued loyalty and this more references I’ll be sending your way.
Staff is friendly and knowledgeable, quality range of cycling products, sometimes you offers kids used bikes.

The staff are very helpful
The mechanic didn't do a proper assessment of what needed to be replaced from the get go. The part I ordered took one day longer to arrive than expected and they rebooked my time to the back of the line. Your shops initially estimated it taking from 1.5 to 2 weeks. In the end it took 34 days.
I understand the issue is about having too much work to slow down. To me, it's an indication that you probably need more staff to handle the level of work and potentially to pay people well enough to hire and retain highly skilled technicians like the type required to do or repair on my bike (which was originally bought from your shop).
I understand it's hard during the summer rush. A better assessment would have taken 5 to 10 more minutes, and setting my expectations more accurately have helped me an plan for a much larger inconvenience. As is, my experience left me with little trust in your shop.
