quick professional friendly
Easy to order bikes and the emails and service was very smooth. Bike was ready at pick-up and staff are knowledgeable and were able to answer all my questions including some tips and tricks with the new purchase.
I placed an online order for some Mountain Bike shoes because the Police Service I work for is starting a Bike unit that I am a part of. The shoes I ordered I needed rather quickly, so I added a note to my order stating such. In about 10 mins after I placed the order, I received a phone call from John. He let me know that it was likely that I would receive the shoes in 30 days as the product is shipped from the US and not something in stock. I was a little disappointed and asked John if they had anything similar in stock, He checked and found similar shoes in my size for a similar price, cancelled my order and applied the money to the in stock shoes and shipped them out to me that same day!
This store has the most stellar service I have seen. Thanks John for all your help in this, and I can't wait to get my new shoes.

I would recommended that l booked appointments need to be checked in advance by the staff. I was booked a month in advance on a Tuesday morning, when I got to the store on the Tuesday morning the sign on the store says it’s closed on Tuesday.

Your staff are mixed. Most are very good. Brent is great. There was a real lump sitting at the counter when I came in the other day. He was neither knowledgeable or very friendly.
Everything was perfect my bicycle runs great again.
Pros: bikes are intimidating, so anything to make them less intimidating really helps - thanks!

The person who assisted me was very knowledgeable. They took a good amount of time to answer all my questions, and repeat information to ease my concerns over choosing the right item. Was able to leave feeling good about making the right purchase and was not pressured in any way. Overall great experience in the store.

I bought a new bike last year which took about 4 months on order (Trance X 29 2). After receiving it in mid-summer there was a defect. At first, the solution to correct it was not acceptable, but he store manager was able to find the right solution. I had a few reservations about continuing as a customer after this interaction. Since then, specifically this year, the service has been exceptional. One of the bike mechanics spent 15 mins with me, setting up my suspension and talking about the details. I have bought my last 2 bikes from Sweet Petes, and this year bought and installed a new fork for my hardtail. I'm now considering a set of carbon wheels for my Trance after discussions and advice from their mechanics. I trust Sweet Petes to make this purchase from them. Thanks for everything! Don't let the impacts of the pandemic change the way you service customers. Lead with empathy and do what's right. You will have customers for life time!
I’m super happy that I was able to find the bike I wanted even though all locations I contacted (over a dozen stores) did not have it in stock. Micheal was so helpful and patient with the purchase. He was so knowledgeable and even stayed after the store closed to help with my purchase. Fantastic experience!

Great customer service. I know you guys are super busy right now but you took the time to help me adjust my seat and make sure my bike was fitted ok. Also, you provided great advice on the tires I could purchase and provided good choice without my feeling pressured.
I have had bad experiences with bike stores very close to you where they tried to sell me a commuter ladies bike when I said I wanted to get my bike fitted!!

Sweet Pete's had just the products I needed. I do food delivery and my gear is critical. I was realizing that my old helmet was getting weather-beaten (too much UV exposure) and my current pair of riding glasses were uncomfortable and not exactly fashionable. I was able to find a new helmet (Bontrager Solstice) that fit well and looked great and was in my price range. Despite arriving in the shop at a very busy time, the sales staff were attentive and were able to help me find the helmet I was after and were able to get me sorted out quickly.
The glasses (Tifosi Veloce Reader glasses with a 1.5 lens) were online order only. I was able to order them online for in store pickup and they arrived much faster than expected. They work very well and are a definite game changer for my delivery work. I'm now easily able to read messages on my phone (handlebar mounted) quickly and accurately and keep my attention on the road. Very impressed with this shop and the staff and with these products.

I was sold an expired helmet and when I went back to exchange it all of the helmets of that kind were expired (Brentwood bern). I was disappointed that the sales associate did not take responsibility for this or acknowledge the gravity of selling expired helmets even when I pointed out the other one on the shelf was expired as well. There was no apology or explanation however the sales associate did easily return my money. Safety is a big deal. And when you are buying from a specialty bike shop (as opposed to Canadian tire or mec) my expectation is for higher level professionalism and knowledge and very high quality control. I’d hope to be able to just trust the advice and selection at the store. The lack of attention or recognition of this detail makes me hesitant to take any of my bikes here for service or recommend for any reason given the same lack of attention may be given. I have heard the other location is very good so am surprised. I was educated enough to put together the helmet was expired (date on it was 2018) but others may not and so it’s not cool to be selling expired helmets to people who have come to a specialty bike shop so they don’t need to be experts or knowledgeable themselves. Ultimately this business lost my trust.
