I love the graphics, the fact that I've heard people referring to Pearson's - even though I lived in the south east at the time - nowhere near Sheen, and then it emerges the amazing history.
My first encounter involved I feared potentially broken shifters (Ultegra - eek!). Turned out to be a piece of broken cable hiding in the housing - phew!
Naturally, next time I shredded a gear cable I took it round to Pearson's. They recommended a complete overhaul and soup up. I was all for this - quite chuffed that they'd noticed my titanium zimmer frame was in need of new transmission - and worthy of hydraulic brakes. She was 14 years old and this would probably be her 6th set of transmission updates.
It transpired she had catastrophic damage to the bottom bracket. This explained a familiar creaking sound I'd been experiencing for a few weeks. One I'd heard prior to Evans St Paul's discovering her failing forks - subsequently replaced with heavy steel.
So now my state of the art 2006 prototype drop handle barred, disc braked titanium tractor has been replaced with a slightly more skittish more off the shelf model with the beautiful Pearson logo, a lighter front hub dynamo, wide and comfy 700 tyres and another sturdy luggage rack. I have holes in the front fork if I want to put luggage, bottles/tools on there and Guy really kindly (and neatly!) wired my rear light to the front dynamo. They're looking into sourcing some Pinhead skewers for these funny new hubs everyone is riding now and I can go back any time in the next 6 weeks to get my gear cables tightened. As they're those fancy electronic things I will be going in to take advantage of any hints and tips on how to adjust /look after them going forwards..

Quick service at an appropriate price
Came in with my bicycle after getting a puncture on way home from work. The gentleman from the workshop came to the door and welcomed me whilst the other gentleman who was at the till was concluding a transaction with another customer. The service was excellent. They booked in my bicycle and asked me to return in one hour which surpassed my expectations given I arrived unexpectedly. I felt that my custom was valued. The repair was excellent. When I returned a little later than agreed to collect the bicycle another gentleman was involved in welcoming me who was also very genuine. Great team, great service and great experience.
The staff were very helpful and friendly they fixedly my daughter’s bike and gave advice on how to maintain it. I would definitely Pearson as the go to shop in the future.
