I have not ridden a bike in over 40 years and when I was out of town last week I tried it out because the hotel gave us free bikes to use and I knew I had to buy one ASAP!
I researched different bike shops and came to Helen 's. I was assigned my own sales person when I got there and considering how "green" I am and how little I know about bikes, I was so grateful to be paired with Nick. He was thoughtful and patient and helpful and really made the experience joyful and fun!
I felt completely taken care of through every step of the bike buying process. He let me try out a couple of different models and gave me his opinion and input when I asked for it. I felt treated like a VIP and I will definitely be back for more! Thank you Nick!

I liked that everything that I described was fixed. Sometimes it's hard to find where a noise is coming from on a bicycle. So knowing that you were able to fix it shows how professional you all are.
the guys in the store were great but the cashier was terse and kinda rude. I've been a customer for many years and have bought most of my bikes there but I really didn't like her attitude.

After buying a bike, the salesman made me feel bad because I asked him to put air in tires of another bike, but they had a special connector which I didn’t know how to use, so he tried making me feel bad for it

The actual sales transaction was great but the lack of communication after the sales was not what I was expecting. I ordered 2 bikes for my daughters and was told they were in the warehouse and I can expect them that Wednesday but could be Friday, but no later. I called Wednesday and they were on the truck in transit to the store, so I figured we would get them Friday. Called no answer, figured you guys were busy I completely understand with covid bike shops are slammed. I never got a call or email that the bikes were at your shop, I had to physically go there this past Friday and to check on my order. When I arrived a full week after the bikes were supposed to be ready 1 bike was done and the other was sitting in it's box. I was told to come back in a few hours and they could assemble the bike in the box, I did and finally got the bikes but never received an apology or reason for the lack of communication. As for what you can do to make it better I need nothing personally but I think more communication on orders are needed going forward.

I have been going to I.Martin for over 30 years. Sadly the shop has lost it's family feel and I must say, it sucks to walk in to "your fav. bike shop" and feel like a stranger.
There is an underlying tension that is palpable and I think the folks on the floor are doing there best in difficult circumstances. The wrenches are all stressed but the work load has been bigger in the past, so their tension can't be chalked up to being simply busy.
I have been taking my business else where, it was fun to walk in the door, until is wasn't.
