Stopped in for an air top up, turned out I needed an inner tube replaced, your great staff did it quickly and efficiently, and everyone was super pleasant as always. Love your shop!

Bicycle Habitat Chelsea is a great shop. The staff is knowledgeable, patient, extremely nice and devoted to making sure you have the right bike, properly fit. The mechanics do excellent work. Special shout out to Justine, JP and Matt. among the great staff at this shop.

I seemingly upset the repairs staff by politely knocking on the window, when no one acknowledged me for the 5 minutes I stood there. I didn't think I'd done anything egregious. I'd recommend putting up a "please don't knock on the window" sign if knocking is considered rude to your staff. It was really a strange experience.
However, the sales staff on the other side were extremely helpful and nice.
I was able exchange my daughter's bike, purchased for abotu $400 in 3 years ago for $150, which I applied to a new bike -- which was ready 1 day after we purchased. Could not have been easier.
The Bicycle Habitat mechanic team was accurate, honest, and quick with their assessment and the work they performed. Everything arrived when they said it would arrive and the work was done when they said it would be done. It was everything I hoped for. Thanks again!

I spent a couple of hours at your store on Wednesday. Kate M listened to what I thought I wanted. She pointed out a bike I hadn't known about. I rode it: roughly a 5mi ride around Prospect Park, long enough to get a good feel for what the bike is like. I talked with Kate about it. She made another recommendation. I rode that one also. This comparison was very useful: it showed me that there were at least 2 things about the second bike that I didn't like.
We arranged for me to come in again on Friday to try the bike I had originally gone in wanting. Kate wasn't there, so I worked with Liz. I tried out that bike and talked it over with Liz. In the end, Kate's first choice was the right one for me. Liz helped me figure out all the little bits and pieces that I would need.
The experience was great. Kate and Liz could spend the time I wanted talking about the bikes. They're knowledgeable and sensible. The store policy for trial rides is phenomenal. I felt comfortable and unpressured. The store policies for purchases are also terrific: if for whatever reason I don't like this bike, and I keep it in like-new condition, I can exchange it within 30 days, or just return it.

Been going there practically since they opened in Soho. I’ve always had a great experience with the service and everyone who works there. And they have never tried to sell me something or tell me I need something fixed on my bikes that didn’t really need fixing. Honesty.
