As someone who’s spent years cycling, racing, and competing, I can honestly say I had a fantastic experience at Cyclesmith yesterday.
We bought a mountain bike for my 13-year-old daughter, and the young salesman we dealt with was excellent. Super upbeat, encouraging, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about bikes without a hint of pressure or bike-shop attitude. He really knew his stuff.
The bike certainly wasn’t cheap, but it represented excellent value, and the quality difference was obvious. My daughter is absolutely ecstatic about the freedom and independence it gives her. She’s already planning “commutes” that are somehow longer than my actual commute.
Really great experience overall. If you’re intimidated by the idea of walking into a higher-end bike shop, don’t be. These guys were approachable, helpful, and clearly care about getting people excited about riding.

It was a very pleasant experience purchasing my new bike. Everyone was very helpful. It was nice seeing the available staff helping other customers take their bike out and carefully load it for them. They also recognize military. The building was well maintained and cleaned.

Personal service, quality workmanship, and reasonable prices.
Friendly, knowledgeable service without pressure. Brought an old, neglected bike in that was a good brand but needed a lot of work. Got a repair estimate on the spot and found that I could get a new bike for around $100 more than it would cost to repair the old one. With all newer features like disc brakes, I couldn’t resist upgrading.
I placed order for a new bike on Friday & it was shipped, built & ready for pickup on the following Tuesday. Fast service indeed.
