What could we do to improve?

You do a great job, just would like more dusting on top of refrigerator and the last woman who came here was asked to clean the oven. I had to wipe it down (there was white residue all inside after she sprayed but didnt wipe it off) and scrape off the food and dirt that was on the window of the oven door - it was very easy to do with the scrub pad that was easily available to the cleaning woman but who, for some reason, didn't try to use it. She DID remark, "Oh, you cleaned the door and got the dirt off." My reply was "Yes, I used a scrubber lightly on it and it came right off." My husband who pays for your service remarked that I shouldn't have to clean the oven after the woman sprays it when we paid you all $35 extra for the service. In fairness to that maid, she ought to have had some help.
It was too much work for one person when we hadn't had a cleaning in a whole month.

How did we disappoint you and what can we do to make things right?

The initial "deep clean" was amazing. Due to family illness, we were unable to keep up our usual standards, in our home, and the first cleaning got us back to normal. It was a nice family. The floors, kitchens, bathrooms and furniture sparkled and shined. The second cleaning was very sporadic. The mantle in the living room was dusty, the chairs in the dining room were dusty too (I had called and specifically asked for them to please dust them) and the bathrooms were nowhere near as clean as previously. I know they spend less time on the weekly cleans after the initial clean, but our entire downstairs floor was missed. We did let the local branch now and we were promised this would be corrected next time. I truly hope so. This is not what I signed up for. However, I will add that all of the Merry Maids employees have been cheery and polite.

How did we disappoint you and what can we do to make things right?

The girls are sweethearts! They are always kind and friendly. However, the last couple of visits, my downstairs bathroom & hallway floor haven't been cleaned, although they're supposed to be. Not sure if this is a lack of communication from the office or if it's just been overlooked.

How did we disappoint you and what can we do to make things right?

Wall to wall carpet now needs to be re-stretched. Back pack vacuum suction strong. Dings in the door trim probably from vac hitting it. Door latch on closet door loose - screws pulled away maybe by the vac catching it. Woodwork and door latch at about the same height. Water spots on painted walls.

We asked for our heat /ac duct vents to be wiped last week and they were not done.

Overall it has been good, but my one request was ignored.

Too much turnover with the cleaners who are in my home. I think in the past year I'd guess there have been twenty different people in my home. Otherwise good.

The staff who came to our home were wonderful. We would love them to be our regulars.

The only less favorable thing is that we have bamboo flooring and the standard cleaning agent left them a bit dull. We would like something else used instead.

There were things that were not cleaned that I had asked for and that had been written down on the green slip and put into the price such as the ceiling vent in the bathroom, base boards in the bedroom and top of the refrigerator (I know because I have a copy of the slip).

The cleaning was not very thorough - obvious areas not dusted, goop left on countertops and kitchen floors. Not a good value for the cost. Billing wasn't done correctly. Overall a hassle with half of our visits warranting a call to discuss what was wrong.

What could we do to improve?

My reusable shopping bags were left outside the recycling area and were taken by some one, not surprising as people leave things there that they don't want. I wish I'd been told about that sooner but by the time I realized they weren't in the house it was the next day and they were gone. I'd be happy to tell the maids about the recycling protocols. Also my reternable soda cans were either thrown out or recycled and they shouldn't be. I thought this would be common knowledge but I guess not!

How did we disappoint you and what can we do to make things right?

Pricing is high. In order to get to the price I currently pay (which is high) I had to forego the cleaning of one bathroom which gets little use.

Sometimes cleaners miss obvious things like vacuuming scatter rugs and cleaning the bathroom mirror.

On the initial sales appointment I was told that your cleaners could vacuum upholstery and that was important to me because I have cats but....the one time that I was home when your cleaner arrived he told me that he didn't have a vacuum attachment that vacuums upholstery.
