Very happy so far!
Arden enjoys Sylvan and tells me each day what he has been learning. I plan to share information about Sylvan with my local parent group as a recommendation.
Our daughter has really enjoyed her time at Sylvan. She has loved all of her teachers and has enjoyed the material.
Sylvan is very accomidating may it be via text, phone call, or email. I felt that we are important to them. They are actively engaged in my son’s review sessions with them. Keep it up Sylvan!
My 9-year-old daughter has been attending Sylvan 2x per week for about six months. She has really enjoyed her classes and never complains about going. The communication and processes regarding classes and makeups are easy and flexible to manage. Our coordinator also communicated with our daughter's teacher to coordinate re areas on which to focus. Overall, it has been a great experience for our daughter. The only challenge as a parent is that it is hard sometimes to gauge her actual progress, to see the impact of her work. Our periodic check-ins have been helpful, but it is still a bit hard to judge from the outside.
If Sylvan can hire more instructors that can teach various subjects ( besides English and Maths) would be great for high school students.
My daughter has had a very positive experience so far while tutoring with Sylvan. She is always very excited to attend tutoring because the tutors are not only very knowledgeable and helpful but also very friendly.

So far my son likes the learning center and he said the teachers are savvy. The program’s manager is a respectful person and answered to my questions all. Since my son is at the center for only one and half months, we can not say that he escalates his learning skills. Maybe in future coming sessions, we can see better his progression. I think that have my son takes a test in the future is a way of knowing his level better.

My daughter is always excited to attend her Sylvan sessions because the tutors are very approachable and knowledgeable.
I find Sylvan really amazing because they try to understand and accommodate changes in schedule and very prompt in answering questions and scheduling make up sessions.
Sylvan is great if a child needs extra practice or is a little behind; however, I wish there was an enrichment piece with discussion and group work.
My kids have enjoyed Sylvan so far. It's great to hear about their progress and what they're learning about with the monthly progress report meetings. I love getting feedback from the staff and teachers. Whether it's good feedback or constructive criticism, I think it's important to know what my children is doing well in and what needs improvement. I really think Sylvan will help my children do well once school starts soon.
Committed staff that work well with kids to help them achieve personal academic goals
Many things come to mind when I think about Sylvan of San Francisco! First, the mere fact that my son enjoys going! He jumps out of the car without any grumpy sound effects. This is largely due and credited to his tutor, Jacob who makes the sessions enjoyable, effective, and engaging. I must add that he b doesn’t check with just anyone. In addition, even with people he knows, he can be a little shy. Second, the communication that takes place between parents and the center has been wonderful. I love the fact that the center checks in with families to discuss the progress. Last, I appreciate the openness to be able to change tutors to accommodate the child’s schedule.

I have been able to see my daughter's progress reports but I really want to see the actual work/worksheets assignments that she is working on.
Engaging instructors and staff
I’m wondering why students have to be responsible for paying 10 mins transition time. The class should be 1 hours without calculating 10 mins transition time.
