I love this local theater. The popcorn is the best and many a time the sweet workers at concessions have popped fresh popcorn for me when I asked. AmStar in Mooresville is by far my favorite movie theater because of the comfort, the staff, snd the best movie popcorn anywhere ( and thankfully no Pepsi products!)

I liked the overall experience in the theater. However, there were issues with identifying the correct seat to be in. This did not just occur with myself, but I overheard others who came in finding someone in their assigned seat.
The Theater Was Really Clean And Nice The People Working At Amstar Santikos Theater Were Very Nice And The Service Was 100% excellent And The Theater For The Movie We Watched Very Clean Ad The Reclining Seats Very Comfortable And Relaxing.

Ordering the tickets couldn't be easier. I'm not sure if theater #14 is always cold or not. If it is, it would be nice to get a heads-up in the confirmation email/text. It was a great experience otherwise.

It’s fine. I know the theater industry has changed but I do miss having someone in the box office.
I wish the individual theaters had the movie title above the door instead of just the theater number sometimes old folks can’t remember where to go back to when they go to the bathroom.
Some of the recliners need attention but overall they seem to be in good condition.
The concession stand is very inefficient. Instead of one person on each register that takes the money makes the popcorn and makes the drinks, as a former movie theater manager, I’ve found it’s more efficient to have different team members working at different stations, 1 person strictly working the register, 1 on drinks and 1 on food.
I’d like to see a subscription program like AMC A List or Regals unlimited movie program. I’d actually spend more money than I do currently.
Overall the experience is adequate, I’m not dissatisfied. the screens and projectors and sound all seem to be good quality.
The temperature was just right inside the movie theatre. It’s usually freezing in theatres but I felt comfortable. The chairs at the Johnston St location were soft but uncomfortable for me because there was no option to adjust the angle of the back of the chair. It automatically put me at a slight backwards angle, which I didn’t want. Also, I’m 5’1” and my feet dangled without touching the floor. An ottoman feature on the chair would have been much more comfortable.
My movie theater experience was easily the best I’ve ever had, and it’s one I would recommend to anyone who truly loves going to the movies. From the moment I walked in, everything felt smooth, welcoming, and well organized. The theater was clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed, which immediately set the tone for a great experience. The seating was especially impressive—spacious, plush, and perfectly positioned so I could relax and enjoy the film without distractions.
The sound and picture quality took the experience to another level. The screen was crystal clear, and the audio was powerful without being overwhelming, making every scene feel immersive and cinematic. It felt less like simply watching a movie and more like being pulled directly into the story. Even small details, like the lighting and temperature in the theater, were just right and added to the overall comfort.
What truly stood out was how enjoyable and stress-free the entire visit felt. Everything worked together seamlessly to let me focus on what mattered most: enjoying the movie. Because of the comfort, quality, and atmosphere, this theater turned a regular movie outing into a memorable experience. I would absolutely recommend it to friends, family, and anyone looking to elevate their movie nights into something special.
I enjoyed the clean theatres and spacious seats. I was able to catch Interstellar, which is a favorite of mine. I'm glad that Santikos will show (fairly) recent classics so I can catch them on the big screen again.
We're loyal Santikos movie goers. We love the whole theater experience from the sound system, the popcorn and food and beverages. We love the point system that provides discounts on food and tickets. There are a lot of theaters, but none like Santikos.
