It's very good. My son goes Northwest Cary day camp for the past 3 years. He enjoyed it very much. The counselors are excellent, manage the camp and take care of the campers well.

Hi Team,
Every time I get ready and walk in to the gym, it’s so energizing it keeps me motivating every single day and I never feel bored!!
I can design my own workout and do not have to take classes.
The sauna is the best!! Also the floor plan and layout of equipment allows the space to feel less crowded.
Multiple activities, engaged counselors, fun themes
The counselors are so enthusiastic and caring. My son had a terrific time!

My kid ds come home happy and excited to go back.
The counselors were very caring and full of energy. My son looked forward to going to camp each day.
The cleanness of the facility
The location offers many classes and the wellness floor has adequate amount if machines and free weights.
The instructors(experience, energizing, attitude), cleanliness and close proximity to my home
Love the qualified instructors and the friendly staff. Taking advantage of the THRIVE classes-so glad they are offered and a real mix of activities is encouraged, including aerobics, strengthening, balance and enough mental stimulation to keep us thinking.
P.S. Notice there is nothing to register any suggestions on this survey. On and off audio prblems with the music and the microphones in both class A and B. Needs to be more communication to the instructors and with the class about these situations. What about an old fashioned boom box and music as a back up? Something, so the entire class is not a waste. Really feel bad for the instructors.
Very nice facility. Could use some newer equipment.
Some members continue to hog machines for long periods of time.
Lots of great energy, fun options for the campers, responsible, friendly counselors, can’t say enough good things about how much we love Y summer camp!!
Staff is genuinely warm, welcoming, & fun
The opportunity for my child to experience different activities weekly and access to the pool.
Friendly staff
Best 🎉
The Camp GRACE crew is wonderful! The counselors are caring and my son loves coming. I’m glad there’s swimming everyday and the activities and variety keep him from getting bored (dogs, music, etc). We love the NW Cary Y for Camp GRACE!!
I love the option of Camp Expedition. I have sent my two daughters to over 6 weeks of camp across two summers and it’s a highlight each year. We appreciate the timing, as it’s a full work day but still gives us time to connect before evening activities and have a slow start in the morning.
The kids get to spend time like their parents did in the summer, but better- outside, and going on adventures! This particular week, one of my kids wasn’t excited about an activity, but came home, eyes wider than saucers to tell me about why she has goat slobber on her, and she couldn’t have been happier.
After day 1 of another camp, one kiddo told me, “we didn’t go outside all day!” Camp Ex is the standard by which my kids and I measure what camp should be.
The magic sauce for Camp Ex has to absolutely be the leadership of Hammie. I am incredibly impressed at the ability to retain the majority of other camp staffers year to year, and it’s validated my decision to have Camp Ex as our primary choice this summer.
Involved staff, kids stay busy. Staff seems to genuinely care about the kids.
I really can't say enough about how wonderful the Sports Camp at NW Cary YMCA is. Our family has participated in the camp for the last two years, but this year was amazing for my children. First, the camp is extremely well-run: the carpools, the communication from the counselors, etc. The organization of the camp inspired a lot of confidence in me as a parent to know that my kids were being left somewhere I could trust. However, the counselors were the biggest impact on our experience there. You could tell that every counselor who was hired came prepared and enthusiastic to work with the kids. They shared updates about my children during pick-up and communicated with me promptly if there were any issues. They knew my children and greeted them every morning to start their day off great. I know that this is Jermique Jones first year as the director of the camp, but I sincerely hope that he continues in the role because you can tell that his leadership set the tone for everyone working there. My kids have already asked to come back next year and were sad when their camp experience ended for the summer. Whatever the Sports Camp team is getting paid, whatever recognition they've received... please double it! They deserve it for creating such an incredible environment for kids to grow, learn, and have fun.
Love all the staff at NW. They are so welcoming and helpful.
Like the new sign-up time for classes. People don't seem to be just showing up and crowding in like they use to do.
We could really use some new balls. There are not enough sometimes because so many are going flat.
Would really like a chair pilates and chair yoga class like they have at Taylor. These classes are so helpful to those suffering from arthritis, or just getting started again after other health issues.
Thank-you to Lucas for trying to set up thrive monthly activities. I loved all trips that I attended, sadly I have been experiencing some mobility problems, so I haven't been able to participate since May.
If I had a young family, I would definitely take part in the fun activities you've been having.
Keep up the good work!

What I love most about my Northwest Cary YMCA membership experience is the sense of community and transformation it has brought into my life. In just a few months, I’ve lost 15 pounds but more importantly, I’ve gained motivation and a supportive environment that makes every visit something to look forward to.
From the energizing classes led by Lisa, Emily, and Grace to the warm welcomes from Lori and Mike at the front desk, every interaction at the Y has made me feel seen, encouraged, and inspired. The facilities are great, but it’s the people who make this place truly special. The staff’s kindness, the positive atmosphere, and the uplifting spirit all around have helped me build not just a fitness routine but a lifestyle I’m proud of.
Simply put, the Y has helped me become a better version of myself, and for that, I’m incredibly grateful.
