An Excellent gym
I was really impressed with the facility and staff! There is plenty of cardio equipment, so I never had to wait for a machine. In addition, the staff were so welcoming and knowledgeable. The locker rooms and equipment are all very clean. Overall A+!

I enjoy the Thrive classes and the staff are all very friendly.
I like the feeling of community. All staff members have smiles on their faces and make eye contact as they greet us. I also like that the membership is made up of a large variety of ages and abilities so everyone feels welcome. Many gyms have a gym rat atmosphere of posturing and completion. That is too mentally strenuous for me, a 74 yo just getting back into fitness. Lastly, I like that I can use my membership at numerous locations throughout the county, which I do to fulfill my love of dance. I also use it when I visit my family in Tennessee - great bang for the buck.
good instructors
The NW Y community and staff is by far top notch. Each time I go in, I'm greeted with the friendliest hello's and it's like an extended family. I feel so welcomed there it's hard to leave for any other gym including that really nice one which just opened up :)
Staff super friendly and welcoming to me and my teen grandsons. So happy to be a new member!
Great variety of classes
Nice facility, and some of my favorite fitness instructors. (I will go anywhere Robin F, Jon V, and Anna W are teaching Pump or Combat - they are exceptional!)
The only drawback is that it gets really hot in the studio, and some of the ceiling fans don’t work.
The staff are friendly and helpful.

Friendly, welcoming atmosphere, clean and accommodating facilities, great staff and a very broad variety of fitness classes.
Clean, nice and equipments are new
The staff was very friendly and very helpful. The facility was large and extremely well kept very clean. I like the fact that it had tons of equipment for cardio or indoor track, free weights, machine, weights areas to stretch stair masters and lots of TVs. Keep track of basketball scores. Oh, they also had two large basketball courts. I like the fact that it was a family oriented environment. All ages welcome had a steam room and a dry sauna and a swimming pool as well with plenty of parking. I had a wonderful experience and I will definitely be back.
Convenience, friendly staff
It is convenient. Still a new facility after 10 years. Just a little too many people at busy hours. I used to avoid the crowd and can finish my routine well.
There a variety of group classes that I enjoy but I wish there were more options to choose from. The gym is clean and staff is great!

It has alot to offer, and great for families
I love most of things in NW Cary YMCA. The staff are very kind and attentive, and they really listen to members’ opinions. The members are also friendly and nice, and the classes and facilities seem to be well maintained.
If I could suggest one improvement, it feels like the conditioning and strength classes are concentrated at certain times. Also, as a pickleball lover, I wish the pickleball courts were a bit more developed.
The team coaches, staff and volunteers are all absolutely amazing. I’m also very appreciative of the teaching of values in addition to skills.
I go to NW Cary Y three times a week in the morning and the range of classes and expertise of teachers is excellent. Teachers and students are friendly and it feels like a community, which is also important to me. The group classrooms and locker rooms are always clean. Front desk people are helpful and friendly. The area with books and tables help build community. I think a coffee/tea machine would be a nice addition and help create community further as people would linger and gather after class. A box for donations for coffee/tea would help with costs. I greatly appreciate the NW Cary Y!
