It is a wonderful facility with a knowledgeable and friendly staff. They offer some excellent fitness classes with quality instruction.
The staff is so friendly. It’s a clean facility. I love the Zumba classes & Ab/Core blast with Christina. Cuqui is great too! First Hathra yoga session last Friday at AE Finely. It was so good!
I’ve been toYMCA’s in different areas of the country and none offer as much as AE Finley does. We have more equipment, classes, towels, coffee and other amenities that no other Y’s can match.
Thus Poer, we’ve had a great experience. This is our first year playing Ymca sports as we have done Ymca camps for years.
Jared Hardin does an excellent job of organizing and communicating. He also appears to do a great job of overseeing and leading his staff.
It feels laid back, but has good values of sportsmanship and learning. It is a lot on the volunteer coaches, though. I wonder if there's a way to encourage younger community members - maybe college age for volunteer hours or something - to participate. Parents especially are spread so thin and it would be nice for the kids to have that young person energy, too.

The outdoor pool is open past Labor Day and it’s heated! Thank you for letting me continue to swim my laps outside.
I love the water aerobics and pools. I would like more than 1 night class. We used to have 3- Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday. For those of us that work, 1 class is not enough. I attend Saturday and Sunday too. Also, I would like a chair yoga class to be offered after 5pm. There is nothing like that offered now. Talking to my friends, there is definitely interest.
Thoroughly enjoy the Aqua Fit and Hit classes at Finely! The facility is fantastic, instructors are welcoming and entertaining. And all have great music playlists.

All the employees are friendly and helpful. Facilities are clean, and equipment is all functioning and clean. Lots of great classes too, and a wonderful pool.

Love the facility, the nice staff, the variety in classes offered. I wish there was more than 1 water fitness class on weekday evenings. Everything else is fantastic!
I have always said that I love the Y. It offers a variety of classes and a strong sense of community. I'm glad to be a part of it and will help to support its mission as a volunteer, when I am able.

I use mostly two areas, the pool for water aerobics and Thrive activities, especially jigsaw puzzles other than during the summer months. I would attempt the Thrive trips but my schedule is books way out and I need like 60-90 days to put in something new. I have two meetings the same day and time as this month's trip to Stagville in Durham. I know others who wanted to go but didn't know ahead of time. They have asked me if I know how they can get on the Thrive emailing list and I told them there isn't one yet. I recommended they just follow the Aquatics Facebook Page. I was able to post a recent member's death notice so members of her classes could consider attending her memorial. I like the St. Patrick's Day social and there could be other such socials. I won't be going to the State Fair as that isn't something I care about. I think folks should come downtown to visit a tour of Dix Park.
I have in the past also suggested NIA as a class. It could be late afternoon for when teachers get out of school and could attend. I would like to attend Kelly's Dance class but it is right at noon which isn't good for my schedule. I would like to see more adult Dance type classes.
A E Finley has most of the equipment that I need to do my best most complete workout!
The staff are very friendly, the environment is clean and bright with lots of natural light!
And lastly, the steam room and sauna are simply outstanding! Being able to enjoy a few mins in the steam room after a great workout...ah, there is nothing better! Thank you!
I love the facility. It feels new and modern. Everything is kept clean and orderly. Lockers are larger than other Ys
One main reason I go to Finley are the steam and sauna rooms. Kerr only has steam.
All in all, it’s a great facility with modern, well maintained equipment. Great staff too!

I like the Thrive classe, especially chair yoga. Also, Finley has great equipment for workouts and the staff are really nice. Great place!
I like that you pay one monthly fee and can attend as many classes or use equipment at no additional charge.
I find the facilities well used which makes it crowded at times .
The A. E. Finley YMCA is always a great place to be! Lots of class choices, the pools and equipment are clean and all the staff members are amazing!!!
There is n environment of belongings encouragement. Really appreciate the recent growth of fitness class options.
