I’m a big fan of the outdoor pool and the aqua classes during the summer. I’m glad the heater is put in to help extend the classes a bit past the pools typical closing date.
I think the challenging part of classes is having to sign up in advance, but I certainly understand it. It is not as difficult and larger classes, but in smaller classes with limited equipment and space, it is sometimes hard to get into the classes.
But I do love going to the Y and I think they make an effort to be welcoming, inclusive, and responsive to members.
It is also nice to have the Y be a part of my fit and active program through Medicare. We paid in for family membership for years and years and it’s nice as retirees not to have to do that anymore.

The people. It’s very friendly staff and members.
As a parent, I like that the kids are outside all day. My child wishes he could be inside a little though.
My one recommendation would be to have scheduled bathroom breaks for the kids, especially the littlest ones. My youngest is scared to talk to new people, and consequently he does not ask the counselors to take him to the bathroom. They could be more proactive about this.
I did reached out and asked the camp for help, and they were wonderful. They immediately responded to my message and relayed it to his counselors. They asked him throughout the day of he needed to potty, so he could just shake his head yes or no. They fixed the problem right away, but I am a little surprised bathroom breaks are not structured in somehow.
The lady who signed us up at the front desk, Jenny, was very helpful and professional. We appreciated her taking the time to answer our questions and give us a short tour of the childcare facility, even though it was clear that she was really busy. We felt welcomed and valued by her and it gave us a great impression of this YMCA location.
I have so far taken two classes and enjoyed them. I am also hoping to get outside my comfort zone with different classes, and am looking forward to it.
The outdoor pool
I like how friendly the staff is and that the branch is clean and well maintained. I am confused about whether the lobby area is open to the public or if members are supposed to scan in to just wait there to meet someone or read a book in the lobby. I thought it was a public space, but recently someone asked us to scan in while we were just chatting in the lobby. Anyway, not a big deal just unclear to me.
Lots of choices for classes. Friendly staff. Convenient location.
is clean, there's a lot of free weight and daycare
Pickleball!
Friendly staff
The community, the staff everything.
Front desk workers are super nice. Love towels. Great run pickleball open play by Dan and Merelee. Love aqua classes too.
Aqua fitness classes. The staff is very helpful and friendly.
The YMCA has been a 2nd home for our family, a place where my son felt comfortable spending long summers days at FDC to my husband developing friendships with others who are also working out at 5 AM. In our current stage of life as empty nesters, it is nice to have the Y continue to be part of our lives.
Group fitness instructors are great. Members are friendly and caring.
I love the classes and instructors!

Brooke and Lora were very efficient, kind and did exactly what they said they were going to do! They are the best and one of the reasons I keep my membership at the Y!
