Location.

I have been going to this location for more than a decade and your staff always makes me feel like a valued customer whether I am purchasing a bike or getting repairs. As an older, fat, female biker, other bike stores have not treated me the same. But Penn Cycle/Freewheel, regardless of location, has always been respectful and solicitous. In addition to how I feel going in, their service is always great! I have several bikes, both electric and non-electric, and Andrew does a great job repairing all of them. Freewheel sells a wide range of bikes and they seem to value customers at ALL biking levels. Thank you! A good shop experience gets/keeps people riding. I tried Erik‘s bike shop a couple of times in the last two decades (due to location convenience) and did not feel any of those things.

The people. Freewheel is a big company. So is REI. Unlike REI, I can go into Freewheel and make a connection with someone that knows bikes and biking who takes some time to know me. That makes all the difference. Without that, I’ll just order online with whoever has the best price. With the stores so busy it’s easy to loose that staff connection. Please fight with all you have to keep it real and personal, despite the overwhelming demand.

Products I need are readily available. Fast and reliable service and the staffs are friendly.

Great group of people there to help and steer you in the right direction. I purchased a brand new Trek mountain bike from these guys. Super informative and not just there to keep selling me stuff. The gentlemen actually told me to talk, not run, into the sport of cycling since I was new. He could have sold me one of everything just to turn a profit, but he didn't and I am very grateful for that. I will be making the 1 hour drive back here for all my cycling needs in the future.
