Personal care, and professionalism
All the doctors, nurses, and staffs were very friendly and professional!
Let's start with what went well:
The reception was wonderful. The providers were smiling and had excellent bedside manners. I didn't need to move much because a portable X-ray machine was available. I was diagnosed correctly, and I was given printed rehabilitation advice. The facility was clean, with relatively easy access.
But here's the disappointing part:
It took HOURS to get the X-ray results, in a freezing room, although we did not see many visitors that day.
The elastic bandage was put on too tightly, resulting in me calling 911 and having them take me to Centennial because I had burning pain and numbness in my foot around 2 a.m.
I was not given proper instructions about weight bearing, using the boot, and the acute phase. (I came with a boot I bought on Amazon for another reason, and they said I could keep this one, but never told me how snug it should be, if I should wear it in my sleep, if I should be using ICE, and how, etc.).
Aspirin/anticoagulants were never discussed. Pain management instructions were not clear about the quantity of meds allowed per day, spacing etc. They were also not given in print.
They never showed me my X-ray, and I had to ask to get the CD(!!!) with my X-rays (we transfer and email are available, this is 2025)
The 911 bill is not here yet, but the BSW Centennial visit already cost us $950 out of pocket to remove the elastic band that was not applied correctly. They said it's a good thing I had the CD with the X-rays with me, or they would need to X-ray my foot again!? Which means the BSW facilities are NOT communicating with one another??
So, despite being correctly diagnosed, I would not recommend this facility because of subpar levels of communication around care that resulted in a second hospital visit after a few hours. If the nurse had told me I could remove the elastic bandage if numbness or burning occurred, I would not have had to call 911 at that hour.
For people with acute trauma, you could offer printed instructions BOTH for the acute phase and the rehab, including pain management, moving around the house, and available resources to help patients move safely, like toilet risers.
You could print out the X-rays and give them to patients, AND send the images via email; a CD is not the optimal solution. Patients should be given their X-rays without having to ask for them. A printed diagnosis is NOT what the next physician will look for; they will want to see the actual X-rays to assess the situation.
Patients should be shown their X-rays, and the results should be explained to them ON the X-ray so they can better understand their condition.
Communication about care is pivotal. EVERYTHING regarding the acute care of the first few weeks must be discussed in depth. Don't toss that to the next provider because it may take 2-3 weeks until the patient can see one.
Communication between BSW facilities is also essential. Why would I need another X-ray in Centennial if I didn't have my CD with me?

Was able to be seen very quickly. The doctor, nurse and CT tech were very friendly and attentive.
From the moment I arrived, the front desk administratives were polite, kind, caring, and put my anxiety to ease. The room registered nurses, the MD, all were professional and made my visit better than I expected.

Constant communication and care from the staff from the moment I checked in to the moment I left the hospital. Thanks to Chessy, RN, Crystal, RN, Taylor RN, Lexi, Bena and Twan Tu (OR). Anesthesia and all phases or care including my surgeon.
Everyone is nice and helpful
Treat people with dignity and respect! Listen to the patients needs or explain to them why you are unable to treat them and not just discard them in their time of need. After being discarded and sitting in your hospital’s parking lot for an hour, because I couldn’t drive due to the pain I was in, I called the hospital to explain I was still in pain, I explained who I was and that I was just in the emergency room. The person that answered the phone hung up the phone, and I can tell the phone was hung up when I heard the phone rattle before the line was cut. I went back into the emergency room to explain I was still in pain and was told by a male physician, which I’m sure lobby waiting room cameras caught the interaction, that was not my initial nurse or physician, that I needed to leave and that if I drove to the hospital I could drive back, that I couldn’t be in the hospital infecting other patients. Well no one else was in the lobby and I had a mask on and I was coming back in to seek more help after giving some time for the Tylenol and Motrin I was given to kick in. Now, it took everything in me just to get to the hospital seeking help and care. It took me three hours to get to the point to drive myself there, trying to manage my pain to leave. At your hospital, I was discarded even before my pain had subsided. In disbelief, I just couldn’t believe I was being treating in this manner because I’ve had migraines in the past, usually I was given some pain relief, observed until the pain subsided and released. I was also diagnosed with Covid during my visit at your hospital and I am in healthcare so I know just because someone has Covid, they are not discarded for an infectious disease, in fact, when you have an infectious disease, help from a hospital is what you seek. I’m aware the hospital can’t cure you of COVID , but they do have the ability to help manage symptoms. After leaving to sit in the car another hour or so, I finally called 911 in which medics, who approached me, showed concern, were nice, offered advice, even after they were made aware of my Covid diagnosis, attended to me and gave me advice on trying Medical City Frisco in which I was treated with knowledge of my having Covid, until my pain leveled lowered.
The part of the Hippocratic Oath that emphasizes medicine with conscience, dignity, and honesty, upholding the honor and traditions of the profession was void in the level of service I received, unless honor and traditions have changed in 2025. I understand this particular faculty may not treat trauma patients, but a simple treatment of a migraine is not a complex level of care. The most compassionate were the persons at the intake desk.
Every single person that I spoke with was kind and helpful. My team was very knowledgeable, skilled and efficient. My husband was kept well-informed while I was in surgery and recovery.
All of the staff we dealt with during my surgery was very nice and helpful!
The facilities are relatively new, most of the nurses go above and beyond and Dr. Fong is one of the best OBs to work with.
All the nurses were extremely kind and very well trained. Please give my thanks to the 3 that I dealt with
Honestly my first and only experience with them but all around kind employees and amazing doctors that walked me through my procedure and amazing staff
Dr. Collins was very knowledgeable and helpful. Great experience with him, as well as, other staff.

It was probably the fastest ER visit in my entire life, and not because I was rushed.. just efficient. Also the staff was super nice and the facility was clean, so if I ever have to go to an ER again (heaven forbid) I know it’ll be this one. 10/10
