I went to a lot of bike shops and looked at all different brands of mountain bikes. I am a heavier than normal rider, and every shop just gave me a bike as is off the floor and let me ride it outside. None of the suspension on those bikes, or the seat height was adjusted for my height and weight. Idaho Mountain Touring was the ONLY shop that set the bike up exactly for me before letting me test ride it. The other companies bikes I rode all felt too soft and therefore didn't leave me with a good impression, but the Trek I tested at IMT felt great, and I was able to get an actual test ride in and see how it really feels. That was a major selling point to me.

When I called I actually spoke with a person. She was able to check inventory and offered a substitute. Downside I haven’t received my purchase yet and I haven’t seen a tracking number or shipping information. I was putting off doing the review until I received the order.
