Chain Reaction is hands down the best place to purchase a bike. The staff is knowledgeable without being pushy. I was heartbroken when I thought they closed (from other location,) Keep Redwood City small businesses alive!

I went in for the first time Saturday July 8, 2023 to see if I could put air into my daughters bike. River offered to help me and then my friend came in and helped him to with the air compressor. River noticed and told him employees were the only ones who could use it ~ meanwhile he took his eyes off what he was doing and the front tire tube was getting too much air in it. He said it could be fixed and $28.00 later I picked up the bike. I kind of wondered why I had to pay for the incident since River handled it.
My daughter went for a ride that day and the last time she rode it was last summer. The ride was fine. Everyone was very nice, but I wasn’t sure whose responsibility it was to pay for it. Maybe someone could call me to explain ~ I would appreciate it.

I brought in my vintage bike for tires and tubes, but the bike has an odd size tire which a lot of places don’t carry. I was lucky that Chain Reaction had the size I needed. I dropped off my bike Saturday afternoon and it was ready on Monday. The staff is really friendly and had great customer service. A plus is that the place is family run.

Chain Reaction’s service and having the correct parts on hand makes the bike shop the best in the area.
I first went into the Chain Reaction store to put air in my 35 year old bike tires and Steve was so helpful, I asked if they could service my bike and make sure it was safe to ride. The price was reasonable and when I picked up my bike, Karen showed me on my receipt all the the items that were done on the service. I also learned that Chain Reaction Bicycles is a family run business for almost 50 years. I’m very pleased with their service and helpfulness.
