The youth swim program is excellent. It teaches small children all swimming styles to later enable them to join the Jr swim team (at the Y). Highly recommended.
I like the location. It's so convenient. The programs are varied, and the activities are led by really good instructors.
I really enjoy the Qi Gong class.
Range of programs and accessibility
We like it a lot!
Elizabeth is the best! what I love the most that she and James always shows different options for strength and makes you feel good about yourself. Very valuable lessons and advices, thanks a lot for having this class for free!
I like the availability of Saturday classes and the cost. It is a good value
Exercise options, friendly staff.
I like the size of the pool and the fact it has high ceilings. I like the hours, as I tend to swim a bit late at night.
The classes are reasonably priced, especially considering the class sizes. Having so much focused attention really has help our son progress. My only complaint is in trying to get a hold of anyone by phone. Townlake YMCA calls directed to the pool always go to voicemail and they never return calls, even when they are asking you to call them back! I’ve left two voicemails for separate reasons and my husband has left one.
Fantastic trainers and gym equipment and wonderful swim instructors
Ed and Sarah are amazing swim instructors and just are so incredible with teaching -
Ed has been so patient and encouraging and supportive and knowledgeable and personable and has taken the fear out of swimming and made it enjoyable
Sarah has been wonderful with my son and he loves learning with her and loves swimming now and finds it fun whereas previously he could not even get his face wet due to discomfort and fear
Both Ed and Sarah should be commended for their contributions to helping so many people swim in such a positive manner and are truly a credit to making the ymca town lake and it’s swim programs so great!
Easy, indoor pool, and cost.
Great instructors. Flexible schefule
Chris is a wonderful coach. The kids are progressing so much with him
I do my own workouts, and haven’t taken the time to properly rerearch the available programs and activities.
Y'all have pickleball
Diversity of programming, family friendly, age friendly.
Lots of great equipment and very friendly and helpful staff. Just took my first class yesterday and really enjoyed it.
Swim programs are great for kids
Variety of classes to try. Something for every age group. Instructors are great!!
Family friendly (love Child Watch!), a diverse community, great classes / instructors (especially yoga), year round pool access and swim lessons.
Near where I exercise outside. Good facilities to shower, change, and read/write before my next commitment. Enough parking. For indoor exercises I mostly use Southwest Y. My ability to exercise at Zilker or on the town lake trails depends on being able to shower at your location. Thanks!
It is just the Y!
I love the YMCA! I've been a long-time member and recently switched to Gold's Gym but ended up returning to the Y. I love the variety of classes, the pool options, that it's so family friendly, and the new renovations that have been made to several locations. I'm 41 years old and have an 11 year old daughter who loves it as well. It's a great vibe!
Loved the Zumba class! Can’t wait to go back for more classes.
Great instructors. Love studio space (esp the yoga studio).
Childcare, variety in workout options (classes/swimming/solo weights/machines) plus sitting areas.
Variety of classes every day, esp early mornings
Good quality instructors

Feels like a nice community with various programs and offerings for members
