Member Testimonials
Pilates on Monday and Wednesday evenings with Elizabeth is the best class ever. Her class is the only reason I drive across town to go to the town lake location and a big reason on why I have a ymca membership.
It's a friendly place to go get movement!
The classes are challenging but easy to modify as my fitness level changes. The facilities are clean, the amenities are awesome and there’s no awful music!
The highlight of my week is the Saturday morning Vinyasa class and CXWorks at East Communities.
East Communities is my home gym, but I go to North Austin on Tuesdays to use the hot tub and indoor pool, and Town Lake on Fridays and Sundays to go to some classes and use the steam room.
I wish there were more choices on Sunday morning. I’ve been going to body pump at town lake and it’s very crowded. I’m often finding it hard to do push-ups etc because there’s another person immediately behind me.
Diversity of activities
You’ve got something for everyone and for the whole family and for people of all ages. Which reminds me that I was going to try yoga this year...
I like the aqua yoga, I wish you could have Tai Chi in the afternoon or in the weekends
Swimming activities
Like the atmosphere... hate the parking.
Variety and diversity of programs, good vibe in the facility, easy access from the trail.
I've been a member of the Y "forever" and recommend it often. The great instructors and camaraderie in the classes are my reward for being there early in the morning.
Feel free to use the above quote if you like if it is shown with my name First name removed Fowler (as opposed to the name Eva on my membership).

I like my trainer Michael and his ability to create a program that works for me. While I'd like to believe my body is still 18, the reality is that I've lived long enough that some body parts have expired warranties.
The staff is always warm and welcoming. Their attitude makes regular gym attendance much easier, even on days when I would rather curl up on the couch.
Members exhibit the kind of fellowship that encourages continuing the fitness experience. Some days are easier or harder than others but it helps to know we all keep trying to do what we can, and maybe a bit more.
All inclusive

The variety & quality
I appreciate the welcoming and accepting attitude of everyone I interact with.
Lots of variety. Women with weights teacher is very good. Love all the Pickleball times.
My husband and I both enjoy stopping at the Townlake Y rather than sitting in traffic. Body Pump is our favorite class.
I have only used the gym equipment but I love the Y! The people are friendly the facility and equipment are always clean and functional and the location on Town Lake is great!
I enjoyed the swim class, water aerobics and working with my personal trainer, Brian.
Exercise and work out
Thanks for the opportunity. Everything from staff to workouts
We LOVE Ms. Julie in Hang Time. She invests her time and love into caring for and nurturing our preschoolers. Our kids dreaded going to our old gym, but since we have switched to the Townlake Y, our girls look forward to their time in Julie’s class. The crafts she does with them, the time she takes to speak to and listen to them, and the attention she gives to each of them make our girls feel safe and important. Thank you, Ms. Julie!
The people, the facilities, the location, the affordability, the community. I can’t think of one thing I don’t like about it.
Great programs and teachers (yoga) and lovely facilities.
Inclusivity accommodating and promoting a diversified community.
Inclusive. Free. No nonsense. Down to earth. Useful for getting and staying fit. Clean and well lit facility. Convenient hours. Proximity to Town Lake.
convenient location and helpful staff
Friendly people and members are not all young fit prancing around in sport bra types. All ages, colors, and levels of fitness are welcomed.

love that there is something for every family member.
