My mom had a house on a well at St George Island. Later it went to city water. Her bathroom fixtures were always stained by the hard water and needed CLR for cleaning. I am at Port St Joe on city water. House I bought had a Culligan system and I am able to clean with regular household cleaners which are a bit safer for my septic. Mom saw the difference and said she wished she had known sooner. Told her to get a system when she remodels her baths.

Well the softners use to seem to work very good, then started having trouble and took a while for someone to make it better. Still not sure it is back to normal and it seems to have to regens a lot sooner than before.
