Warm up the floor in the first exercise room- replace the tile?
Very friendly people and clean environment.
An activity schedule that is easier to read online.
I should be able to see at a glance what the schedule is for the competition pool.
A calendar that is visual would be much easier.
Family friendly with many workout options and classes
I ordered two classes a week and enjoy the teachers and the people. the people at the front desk are always friendly and helpful. I like it here
Friendly and helpful staff! Clean and well maintained facilities. Everything you need under one roof. Love this place!
The people who work there are nice and the facilities are clean.
Friendly staff, inclusive environment.
The water temperature is just a little too chilly to enjoy! My granddaughter belongs to the Wilton, YMCA and the water temperature there is so much warmer, which makes it more enjoyable. The Milford Y has such a better set up as far as the shallow end, the middle depth, and then the deep end with the lanes is fabulous! Whereas Wilton just has the lanes offered for free swim. The water temperature makes a huge difference and I know that I am not the only one who feels that way. Thanks!
The friendly people.
The aquatics classes require a complete overhaul. The Fairfield YMCA is the only YMCA in its network that charges extra for deep water exercise classes, which is ridiculous when members are paying full membership prices and other YMCA locations do not charge extra for these classes. Additionally, the Fairfield YMCA does not take into account which water exercise classes are in demand and best for the majority of its aquatics population. For example, the water Zumba class has only 1-3 people in it, because it is not in demand with the aquatics population. Further, Zumba Aquatic class is also an extra charge, which makes it clear that the Fairfield YMCA is looking to make money rather than fulfill the needs of its customer base. The aquatics classes at Fairfield YMCA are poorly organized and managed, with last-minute changes, mad scrambled for instructors, and I have been there many a time when the schedule says there is a class, and there is no class because an instructor could not be found. Based on the disorganization and lack of management at the Fairfield YMCA aquatics programs, I have started to go to the Milford YMCA, which is like night and day difference. Unlike the Fairfield YMCA, where members are price gauged by paying for classes that should be free, the Milford YMCA offers these classes for free, the classes run as shown on the YMCA app and schedule, and they are more successful in retaining quality instructors as a result of the better management of the program in Milford versus the complete lack of management in Fairfield.
Staff is professional, knowledgeable and friendly
Cleaner locker room
The people at the Y are very friendly. The facilities are good. The hours are convenient for me.
Easy parking and friendly staff
The pool area is way too hot and lap swimming is terribly crowded, partly due to the way the pool is configured. There is no place to anyone to do deep water exercise unless they are doing laps. Please configure the pool the way it's supposed to be configured. If there are classes, lane markers can be easily moved. Open up the roof when the air temp is 80+
It’s easy to pop in to the exercise room and it’s never crowded. Exactly what I needed to get more active this winter.
Facilities and friendly people
Very well equipped
Very clean
Happy people around…….
It’s set up well. The people that run the place and are members are very nice. It’s hard to get into some classes and they don’t really address it. But overall it’s very good
The staff is top-notch! The facilities have everything you need. It is a feeling of community once you walk through the doors.
The workout space is pretty good, but it could be improved by being a bit larger. It is challenging to use free weights (deadlift, lunges, bird dips) without being in the way of others trying to access equipment.
The pool is excellent!!
Variety of classes
Personnel are great - approachable and informative, friendly. The variety of classes - and workout options, the pool e.g. and the fitness room. And availability of a public sitting area - lobby.
Good classes and instruction. Building is well kept and clean.
Up grade resistance training equipment
Like the exercise programs you have. The instructors are great.
It is close to my home and the staff is friendly.

The sense of community, the very helpful friendly staff
