Moved to Lakewood 12 yrs. Ago. I really didn't know many people. I retired from my job & joined the Y! The first time in my life I went to the gym. I joined Debra Marsteller's aerobics class. Not only did I get in better shape,but, I made a lot of new friends.Since then I have done pool classes, Barre & now Enhance Fitness. I Love the Y and all of the GREAT PEOPLE who run it. They truly CARE about us. It is a bonus to stay healthy & spend time with great friends.
You have the friendliest staff! Thanks for providing such an inviting space for all!

The Lakewood YMCA should be looked at as the standard of measure against other facilities like this. Employees are very friendly, always smiling, and they give you that feel good experience. The drink bar is an added bonus. The activities and events are fulfilling.
Have been enjoying my time there & the classes available. Great instructors, staff are so helpful & welcoming. Something for all ages. Would highly recommend!!
After an initial period of becoming familiar, I have become a part of the multicultural family. It is a safe and friendly environment where people are concerned about their overall health and we truly miss people when they are not present for their regular workout.

I have recently been to four other YMCA's in the area and the Lakewood is the most user friendly and just plain friendly. The staff always say hi and are present and looking over things. I also like the layout a lot better than the other YMCA's that I have visited hat being Gig Harbor, Silverdale and Shelton.
The facility has all types of equipment to use. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

I love going to the Y for the Enhance Fitness class. As I am getting older it helps me maintain strength and balance so I can enjoy my retirement.

I like that it is family friendly, it offers child care services for parents to engage in exercise. I enjoy the dance classes.
Everyone is so friendly. The instructor of the class I attend is great. She is so much fun. I am looking forward to taking advantage of what all the Y has to offer

Always clean and staff is amazing. My kids love the swim instructors and can’t wait for swim nights.
Everyone is very friendly and helpful. I recently accidently left my watch in the locker. I returned to look for it, but someone was currently using same locker. I stopped at front desk to check, but it hadn't been turned in. they took the information about the watch and said they would contact me if found. Later the same afternoon I received call that my watch had been turned in as a found item. I was so grateful for the staff at front desk and the person who turned it in.
Members are great people, and the staff always helpful.
