I have been to dwntn ymca and pearl street new pool bldg and lkwd Y is thousand times better in everything! Lkwd pool, sauna, and especially the huge UNPARTITIONED jacuzzi are all far better arranged not chaotic like or in case of jacuzzi lkwds is bigger and not excessively partitioned up. Lkwd is beautifully ROOMY everywhere, mens bathroom has nice curtains in shower and two privacy booths for those wanting more privacy and even that is not OVER done like the pearl street shower booths! Lkwd is the best ymca i have ever been to, 99% of staff are also very nice...except one creepy nit picking older woman at check in counter..who i avoid like the plague
Absolutely impressed with the quality and amount of classes and teachers you have. I would like to see more intense water aerobic classes that don’t conflict with the other am classes .

Very clean- I observe people cleaning at most of my visits there-yoga mats & blocks, floors, etc.
It has been/is a welcoming, safe and fun place. My kids are still in touch with teammates they swam with as members of the Sharks 20 years ago.
The value is remarkable..the cost of swimming, ballet and gymnastics for the price of a membership can't be done individually on the community.

The staff are always so kind, polite, thoughtful, and helpful. The spaces and equipment are very well cleaned. My kids love their classes. The gymnastics gymnastics is fantastic and the coaches are wonderful. My kids friendly fight over who gets Gabe for their gymnastics teacher. The drop-in zones for kids are fun and have lots of activities. My kids (especially my 3 year old) beg to go into the child watch. My kids are excited to go check out the books and play volleyball or borrow the rackets to play in the smaller courts. My older son loves the chess set in the lobby. I enjoy reading in the café area by the fireplace and windows when I get a few minutes to myself while all my kids are in class and/or child watch.
