These programs encourage the children to try new activities, in a healthy environment for them to be around their peers.
The homeschool PE program has been a great way for my kids to make friends and get exercise during their homeschool day several times per week. The staff is all welcoming and friendly. The classes are fun and engaging.
We enjoy the community HS PE creates. We appreciate the flexibility and enthusiasm of the coaches and their ability to create a strong report with the kids individually and as a group. My kiddo often leaves PE feeling accomplished, encouraged, wore out!
A few suggestions for the sensory sensitive PE class: 1.) lowering the timer buzzer/timer volume or using a visual timer 2.) when safe to do so using daylight rather than over head florescent lights 3.) keeping the gym doors shut when possible
Chance is by far one of the best PE teachers I've come across. He remembers each youth, their names, gets on their level, makes everyone feel seen and no matter their ability he encourages them to keep trying and is engaged in their activities. We come back everytime cause of him. Thanks Chance!

The schedule and the staff
I like the setting for different activities for youth, and the energy and attitude of the coaches
I like that my son gets a wide variety of skills and opportunities in multiple sports. It is important to us that he gets these experiences starting at a young age. The youth sports staff has been amazing the past year that we have been participating.
Usually skills and drill at Lakewood is a disappointment and I usually use as a filler(if no other program is available for that day) for my kid. However this Skills and drill is well organized and actually have some fundamentals. Hopefully it continues and not regress back to kids just tossing ball up in the air and scrimmaging with no coaching.
