The Lakewood Y is a welcoming, and safe place to come for a complete physical fitness experience. They have a great facility for people of all ages.

As a woman, I appreciate the many options for classes that fit whatever age or fitness level I may be. Having a pool is very important to me. Childcare, and opportunities for kids to explore fitness as well as after school activities. The Y is such a family oriented organization and it can be a solid foundation in helping families cope with modern day societal issues that have a negative impact on families and kids by giving them positive outlets to focus on. Staff are always helpful and ready to spend time with you when needed. Membership prices are higher than most gyms but the Y quality can't be matched by many other gyms.
I love the access to YMCA. The only thing that is bothersome is the kids running around without supervision. Also when I try to get stretch on the mats it’s always full and wish there was more mat access in the track area. But overall the YMCA is great.

I am a senior in my eighties and I have had nothing but great experiences at the Y! Great classes, wonderful instructors and the perfect facilities and hours for my needs. I love the track for walking upstairs, especially during the winter months so I can escape the cold! The pool and lockers all top notch too. And to boot, I have made new friends and they are all lovely people! What more can you ask for?

The facility is clean and orderly. There is a wide variety of organized activities and plenty of workout machines. The staff is friendly and informative.
So far I haven’t had any issues with utilizing the YMCA. There is sufficient enough work out room and the weight room area. I do not have to wait for an inefficient time to utilize the weight room area. The facility are clean and neat most of the time. The staff is friendly and helpful.

We go to Sumner ymca ,newer ,closer to home, we try to avoid Lakewood because its just too dangerous.
