Great clean friendly facility…..
Great lap pool and aqua fitness classes, with clean showering and dressing rooms.
The employees here are absolutely incredible. Always welcoming, accommodating, and helpful. Big shout out to those in the back. Coach Chance has just made my daughters life change. They love coming to PE and even one of my non social daughters is really doing so much better. Damian and Chris really work hard to make sure the kids have a great experience and Larry always is so kind. Just overall, anincredible staff.

Awsome staff! Clean facility
We like the classes it offers, especially homeschool PE right now. The teacher is very engaged and supportive! We also enjoy playing on sport teams like soccer and basketball. My oldest daughter (13) has also started attending teen late nite. Overall, I enjoy the fact that there is something offered that is structured & unstructured to fit each of my 4 kids’ personalities.
I enjoy coming to workouts with my family.

Everything!! From the friendly,accommodating people at the entry to the layout of the facility . It offers something for everyone and is very clean. A variety of room sizes for working out individually or in a group class are well placed throughout. It's family friendly. All age groups are welcome and will be able to find whatever they need to enhance their physical lifestyle needs.
The Lakewood YMCA is the best YMCA in Pierce county. Toby Roberts the director, is engaged with members (knows most of them by first name), and visible in different departments on a daily basis. There is a positive energy when I walk into the Lakewood YMCA. Di's yoga class on Monday morning is amazing.
The staff is friendly and u could always tell when a person doesn't like their job. What I like most is the equipment, pool and sauna

I have only been a couple of times, but it is welcoming.
I enjoy that you really see all age groups and types of people there. However my loyalty to the Y is from the 1970s when my all girl high school wouldn’t allow us to play many “masculine” sports so we quietly formed our own high school soccer team thru the Y. Did get in trouble at school later when we did well enough in the YMCA league that year to get mentioned in the local paper wearing our school name, but it was worth it.
We love the environment and swimming for our son. We also love all the weight and work out equipment for ourselves.

Conveniently located; great pool system, especially for seniors with limitations; Sonny is a warm welcoming soul at 0530 hrs; Wendy keeps a very clean facility.
Thr instructors actually give the attention the children need to be successful swimmers.
