Welcoming atmosphere - the staff are really friendly and helpful. It’s also a very attractive building inside. The lockers are easy to use, and the restrooms are clean.
I like how the treadmills and ellipticals are throughout the building not in one big area. It’s nice to have little areas of privacy.

We are very grateful for having the Y for our 5-year-old daughter. She has asynchronous development and has been struggling in educational settings for two and a half years, and the public school system did not work for her. But she feels at home at the Y, the coaches have made her feel strong and confident. We love the staff and all the classes at the Y!
Staff are so friendly and helpful. Facilities are wonderful. We have no concerns or complaints with the exception of multiple attempts to reach the man responsible for restarting my autistic sons membership. The director of ambitions of Washington kept trying to phone and e-mail the person responsible for the membership. For two weeks there was no reply to Todd the director at Ambitions. The YMCA staff sadly indicated that he was difficult to get ahold of and they were right!! When I spoke with staff to get the paperwork completed they called for the Lakewood director to come and talk with me. Fortunately since my son is getting half of my social security as his income and not DSHS disability income, she was able to help process the paperwork. In the past Avery was working at YMCA and quickly took care of an issue, but this other person is not doing a good job. Hope this helps
