My camper loved the activities and the overall structure of the camp. My only ask is that you bring back the implementation of allowing friends attending the camp together be in the same group. This was a big reason why we chose this camp in the first place. I understand it would require more strategic planning and work on your end, but it can be done especially if we are signing up months before the camp begins. We pay a lot of money for this camp and this simple ask should try to be accommodated.
Camp at the Lake provides my children with the opportunity to spend their summer outdoors in a beautiful environment, no screens in sight & playing with other kids.
We love the Camp at the Lake. Our daughter has the best time there. the waterpark is amazing. We also really enjoyed family day. I wish there were more family day opportunities but I understand the counselors also want the weekends off. Looking forward to coming back next year.
My daughter came back happy, hungry, dirty and absolutely beaming with joy about the things she learned at camp! We cannot wait to send her one more week before summer ends! She learned so much! Big thank you to all the camp counselors who are not only super supportive and loving but also look out for her Asthma and made sure she got a treatment when needed! Highly recommended things beautiful camp!!! Wish i could go here ha!
My daughter has been going to Camp at the Lake for over 5 years, and she still loves it!
Good atmosphere and fun lake activities.
My son absolutely loved it and is begging me to register him for the full summer next year.
My kids have been going since they were 5 and they are now almost 12. They love Camp At The Lake and it has been really good for them. They both want to become counselors one day for Camp At The Lake. I always feel very comfortable with them there and they have matured each summer they have gone.
Great experience for my son!!
The ability for my son to be outdoors and to learn how to swim in a safe environment. He has made a lot of progress in a little amount of time getting comfortable in the water. He also had made friends in a little amount of time as well.
The variety of activities!
My kids come back every day saying it has been a great day at camp. The counselors are super special - they have a talent for care and coordination
My son enjoyed being outside and doing activities in nature. He really liked kayaking and would have liked to have done some paddle-boarding but was prohibited given his age.
This camp delivers. My son comes home each day tired and always has fun . They combine fun learning experiences while keeping them fully engaged. It’s amazing
My daughter is loving it at camp at the lake !!! It’s fun she is busy all day and making new friends I could ask for more from a camp .
Activités and care provided by personnel
Unlike many other activities my kids participate in, every day they come home I hear nothing but praise about their camp experience. They always say they had fun, that they like their counselors, and most importantly they come home tired after a day outdoor play. The only critique I have is it would be great to request and have siblings/friends in the same group. I know this can be difficult and maybe there is a way to request this that I missed - it's NOT a big deal. Just some honest feedback. Thank you to everyone involved with making this camp a great experience!
It’s affordable. He counselors make my kid feel like a million bucks. The counselors build my child’s self esteem and passion for the outdoors.
Thank you for an incredible summer!
My children had their first experience at Camp at the Lake this year, and they completely fell in love with it. All three, from 5 to 10 years old, are having the time of their lives. I truly appreciate that it offers an authentic outdoor camp experience, filled with nature, swimming, fishing, new friends, and wonderful new adventures.
They'll definitely be back next year!
The whole experience was fantastic. The ability for my daughter to try so many adventure and arts and craft activities in the middle of nature and in great company is what made the difference for her and my husband. Great organisation by the parents too.
Great group of people. Very friendly and welcoming. The location, Frost Valley, was a great setting for young boys.
Amazing group of dads, super fun activities.
Great people. Great campus. Wonderful activities and bonding time.
We were really impressed with Camp at the Lake. We sent out daughters for 3 weeks this year and it was their favorite camp. I love that it is all outside and active based and they really enjoyed the counselors and all the activities provided. Thank you!
My son always enjoys Camp at the Lake. He enjoys all of the outdoor water activities. I appreciate the camp's efforts at maintaining parents informed, communicating how they have addressed challenges, etc. My son gets home tired and happy. Thanks for a great summer!
My child stays busy, and active during the summer. He comes home fulfilled and best of all tired!!
My daughter had a fantastic summer at Camp at the Lake. She came home exhausted but happy each day and really enjoyed her time. Looking forward to next year!
My girls say it was the best summer!! They were happy thanks to all the YMCA staff!!! for all the love and care they gave them.
My daughter had a wonderful time as a five-year-old and her first year going. Although some hiccups with the bathroom and the porta potties were not her favorite, but she enjoyed all the activities and the swimming lessons. She became much stronger swimmer after the summer and was able to skip up to the next level for swim class we really loved the experience.
For next year, we just hope for some air conditioner on the bus and more communication from counselors in the beginning of the week, especially for new parents and kids.
My daughter absolutely loves Camp at the Lake. From the bus ride, lake activities, to the wonderful counselors. Highly recommend!

The staff & counselors made it fun!
For older kids, they liked that the had the option to participate in activities or opt out. Gave them a sense of independence and choice. Another great summer at the lake!
