My 6 year old attended Camp at the Lake for one week and my 8 year old attended for two weeks. As a parent, I appreciated having a schedule for each child so I knew what activities they would be doing each day. I received a phone call for my okder child’s counselor during his first week to let me know how he was doing. It was reassuring to hear that he was integrating well with the group. I did not receive any phone calls from my younger child’s counselor however, and I wished I had. I also liked the variety of activities my children were engaged in and also that some of them challenged my children. My 8 year old did not like thr idea of paddle boarding but reported to me that he loved it and it was a lot of fun. Both of my children told me they wished they had more time allotted for swimming. As a parent, I think giving campers more time for “free swim” would be a good opportunity for socialization and I would be fine with this. Overall, I was impressed with how organized everything was and appreciated the efforts to inform parents. I plan to enroll both if my children for two weeks next Summer.
My kids had a blast, always in a good mood coming home 😊 Complete unplug from computer and phone, and easy access to aftercare, as well as swimming every day. Thanks for everything!

My daughter loved all of the outdoor activities. The bus pick up and drop off was incredibly helpful. Counselors were loving and caring. All around an amazing experience.
The kids have new experiences, meet new people and most of all, they have fun. My daughter was a participant for several years and she loved it. She'd come home dirty and exhausted but excited over the day's events.
Kids were so happy with activities and counselors and always had something they were eager to tell me about their day. Bus pick up and drop off was well organized. Love that they got to spend the whole day outdoors.
My son attended camp at the lake for the past 5 years and he loved every minute of it! He enjoyed swimming every day as well as participating in all of the wonderful activities. He made great friendships and loved all of the camp counselors! He is sad that he reached the age where he can no longer be a camper but he wants to go back as a counselor.
The counselors were great, very professional and good with the kids. I appreciate the different experiences the kids have throughout the day. Sounds like a lot of fun. Wish I could go : )
Bus experience was easy. Our kid had an amazing time and wants to go back again! The kids and counselors were very welcoming.

It’s outdoors! Also, the amount of swimming, boating and water activities really built my 7 year olds confidence to swim in the ocean. She loved the theme days too
Outside, no screens, socializing, learning archery, learning fishing, aquapark.
Everything! My son loves camp on the Lake! If I could send him all summer I would!
Everyone is so professional, friendly, and caring. I know when leaving my son with YMCA camp staff he is in safe hands and he will sure have a blast!

I think it’s a great “out in the woods” experience for my young camper and it’s a very reasonable price with very good value.
The kids have so much fun and the get swim lessons.
Best summer camp ever
My son loves the camp! Not only that they spend the whole day outside playing water sports and other games the also learn about nature and survival skills.
Both my kids have loved and enjoyed their time at Camp at the Lake. The endless activities and the wonderful disposition of all the counselors have made my kids summer memorable!
Our daughter thought the Camp at the Lake was so fun! She really enjoyed swimming in the lake, playing with her friends and being a part of the entire experience.

My kids did not enjoy the West Milford Sheriff visits this summer. They didn't get all of their water time as a result and they said it was boring.
This was a great experience for my child. He didn’t love some of the facilities, and thankfully there are renovations you planned. The team building and independent growth that the camp promotes is invaluable. The price has been a real relief to me, as other lake camps are super expensive. Whereas Camp at the Lake was budget friendly.
Kids love how active it is, I love how exhausted they are.
