We love Adventure Guides!!! Our son looks forward to it so much every time, as does his dad, and they are building incredibly special memories together. Thank you for offering this incredible program!

Frost Valley is awesome. I’ve been doing Adventure Guides weekends for years and will continue to do so. My kids and I always have a blast there. However, I do have several issues with the program because I see things slipping and getting worse, not better.
1. On many occasions, I have shown up to an activity and there is no staff there. I know there are staffing issues, but getting organized and putting out correct information should be something you can do right every time.
2. It is ridiculous that we have to drive up on a Friday night and fend for ourselves for dinner. I know you need to cut budgetary corners, but the fees keep going up and up and we are getting less and less. Throw out some pizza and soup in the dining hall and we‘ll be just fine.
3. There are many ways to spend $500 for a weekend in the Catskills, and pretty much all of them except Frost Valley include bedding. You really shouldn’t have to nickel-and-dime guests for tie-dye tshirts, canvases for painting, $10 for a cardboard rocket kit, firewood, etc. Make your guests feel like they are getting a good value.
4. Check the weather report before scheduling Observatory sessions. It’s closed on clear nights and open on cloudy nights.

Camp at the lake gave my camper a very full experience. She loved it! It was her first time and she had a blast.
I’d like the camp to be 1 h longer, so I don’t use the aftercare but my child to be at Clifton stop at 5-5-15pm.
I’d like you to have cameras around the camp, so I can check what are the kids doing during the day.
I’d like the kids to learn songs and to have board games to play.
I like everything else.

My kids love it. They love the water activities and being outside.
I love the fact that Camp at the Lake has such a long season and is open when other camps have closed for the summer. I also love the fact that transportation is provided.
Finally, I always know my kids are well cared for by YMCA staff. They are safe and unplugged, which makes me very happy.
My son gained so much confidence from this program. One example: after years of swimming lessons he’s now a pro in the deep end.
It was so awesome! Both my girls loved it...felt super organized and love an old school summer camp experience.
Also really loved the family day...my daughters were so proud to show us around.
