Friendly and engaged staff.
The teachers were great. The aquatics coordinator was really easy to work with. The facilities are so nice. Thanks!
Friendly helpful staff. Clean facilities
Swimming lessons on Saturdays. Have some really good instructors!
Not overly crowded so machines are readily available. The pool area is great.
Like the facility, the class instructors are great!
Very helpful staff, equipment is well taken care of.
I have 1 big problem. I go swimming @ 530 am and there’s a woman that takes up a lane that isn’t swimming laps. She stands and moves her arms and her feet but NOT swimming. I never have a problem getting a lane cuz I get there @ 530. But yesterday a poor guy got there a little before 6 and he had to wait for 1 of the swimmers to leave. If that would’ve been me I would have been mad. She needs to move out of the lanes if there’s someone that wants to use the lane!
Nice place. Nice people. Enough equipment for the people there. Good childcare options. Kids can participate in sports. A few heavier kettlebells would be nice.
I appreciate the lap swim is frequently open for swimmers.
Variety of Group Active classes, towel service and free coffee.
Would like a Total Body Conditioning class at Southwest like Armburst facility has.
I love the instructors who are so very nice and the classes are great for my age group (senior). There is a choice of classes and the socialization aspect is important for me, as well.
The water exploration A class has been a great way to expose our babies to the pool. The lifeguards are very friendly and helpful. Thank you YMCA!
The staff is very attentive and supportive. They are always available to answer questions and super friendly. The instructors are great and very knowledgeable. I highly recommend the SW YMCA!
Bailey is amazing and the instructors are so good with our kids!
Good choice of equipment, usually not crowded
I like the many way the YMCA motivates me to reach my fitness goals. There are also any activities and classes for my kids.
There are alot of activities classes for the seniors. The teachers are energetic and kind, positive, helpful.
I haven't done activities yet but like the exercise machines.
I’ve participated in many yoga classes at this facility and thoroughly enjoyed my experience. The instructor and staff are professional and friendly. I now split my time between this Y and another one that is closer to where I live and both facilities are perfect for me. I plan on continuing at both facilities….
I use the pool only
I LOVED the yoga studio. It’s extremely inviting and relaxing. The instructor was very accommodating.
I normally go to Armbrust. I follow Alicia to take her Zumba class. I love her energy, probably best Zumba instructor.
I only use the pool so not familiar with other programs
Swim lessons.
We've had lessons at armbrust but constantly experience no show teachers, changes in times, new instructors with no experience and only classes after bedtime (7:30p classes for 4 year olds??)
We have none of those experiences at Southwest, very pleased.
Zach taught 2 sessions to teach pickle ball. His teaching skills were excellent, as he broke the game down and taught in small/manageable chunks. His patience was also high! What a great young man to have on your staff!

The opportunity to exercise in a variety of ways at a reasonably priced gym. Plus, the Y is not going away, bankrupt, change names, ownership, and has multiple locations nationwide for members to use, usually free. What's not to like?
