Convenient facility + good staff
Because the place is well kept, friendly employees and in my time of need (my apartment building burned down) the Y stepped right up, got me an initial complementry membership pass, assisting in the reduction of what was colossal stress levels of instantly being homeless.

My experience at the Y has been very pleasant so far. I am always able to access equipment I want to use and the staff has been friendly, kind and helpful. I have also watched as the group exercise schedule had filled in more and more since covid restrictions have lifted and I appreciate the effort made to add a variety of classes as life finds it’s “new normal.”

The YMCA afterschool staff is amazing, friendly, kind and caring! They all seem to have a vested interest in the children in their program and are true professionals! Thank you for everything you have provided my children throughout the many years we utilized the Salem YMCA childcare.
I like that my child is with a group of consistent caregivers, and that she is able to be cared for after school at the same location as her school.

The instructor - the Instructor for the Saturday 11am class at the Salem YMCA is amazing. She is so patient with the child and kind.
I have been coming to the Salem Y since I was in middle school, multi , son since high school and now my pre teen daughter. Jimmy is super friendly and Inlike to chat with him most mornings.
