I love the entire atmosphere and the energy from staff is remarkable! I don’t know how they can remember all the kids names and so quickly!! Very approachable and accepting. Helpful to the fullest too. The activities are engaging and fun for my child. My kid looks forward to going and participating in whatever they have planned. I liked how welcoming it was for my first time camper and making him comfortable there. I can’t wait for my other child to attend next year! She’s very excited to join.
The activities you guys provide and also transportation helps as well.

Wonderful gym..... I look forward to the staff and the gym so much. Other than the nutrition class which I value; I haven't taken other classes. Oh and after seeing young children yelled at indoors and outdoors maybe three times when I have been there; In the past couple weeks I saw a young child run with their arms open to hug a staff member. Also you have a few criminals adults and teenagers men.
Additionally I have seen women trying to open lockers that are not theirs. I warn women about the combination locks. I look forward to Mary Sholds and the desk people. I want to find a way to get more older people to the gym. Could Charity contact the housing authority of salem and do regular reminder mailing to senior housing residents to invite people to exercise? Ok

The after school program engages kids in so many different activities. It gives my son an opportunity to play with friends, be active, or get some homework done. The staff has always been very helpful, kind, communicative, and encouraging.

It's got a great location and they're trying to update it! I think that's great for the community. And they keep it nice and clean.
Rain or shine - my daughter has come home saying what a wonderful time she's had at camp! This our first summer doing camps, so we did not know what to expect. We appreciate the clear communication, and thoughtful ways the counselors engage with her. Great work!
Great and supportive staff; safe place for my child to be active and entertained.
As this was my son’s last year in the school aftercare program, I want to share my deep appreciation for the staff. Navigating the pre-teen years can be tricky, but the team has been wonderful. I love that they provide excellent security while the kids play outside, while still giving my son the independence to play individually. He has truly liked his time here.
My only piece of constructive feedback is that I would have loved a bit more support with his homework. I completely understand that staff cannot force the kids to do it, but putting a little more emphasis on encouraging him to finish his assignments would have helped our family a lot.

The Salem Y meets typical exercise needs, provides needed services to the local community and is centrally located.
Professional friendly
All of the staff are friendly and attentive. Gym is well equipped and maintained. Gym, pool, and sauna facilities are excellent.

We love the endless access to being creative and the PEM visits.
I appreciate the way the staff communicates with families. They’ve done a great job making the pick-up process as smooth and efficient as possible. My son genuinely enjoys his time at the program, and whenever a concern does come up, it’s addressed promptly and professionally. I also love the creativity that goes into planning the activities—they keep the children engaged and excited to participate.
