I love that the straff is very hands on with the kids and my son always comes home with a new story of what he did in camp or a cool new project he did in camp
Everything, mostly the staff at the Salem Y downtown, they are the best. Our daugther loves the Creative Arts camp so much, she wants to go every year, this is her second year. Yesterday she went on about the staff and says "they are some special people" :)

We absolutely love all of the activities and interactions the children have at this camp! Since the first year, we were amazed by all of the activities that was offered throughout the day for the kids. We truly appreciate all of the effort and teamwork it takes to keep this place running, to keep the kids occupied and having fun. Thank you for being awesome!
My daughter loves the water so this camp was fantastic, they swim daily in the ocean and the pool.
I use the Salem YMCA to exercise-in the workout areas or in the pool. The Salem Y makes it easy to feel at home, whether you're looking for a private space to work out in where no one intrudes upon your "invisibility" or whether you're open to getting to know some of the others whom you grow to recognize as regulars. The equipment is kept up, and there's rarely a problem getting to the treadmill, stair-climber, or whatever when you're ready. The locker room is commodious, and having both a sauna and a steam room is great. The staff combines efficiency with an easy-going friendliness, for the most part. The mood is upbeat. Morale seems high.

The staff is amazing the salem ymca is kept very clean.Its a very comfortable place to work out they also have a lot of activities.Overall its an amazing place to go for a great time.

This camp program is so wonderful. My daughter knows a lot of the staff from the after school program, and she’s so comfortable being with them for the summer. This is her third summer. We’ve offered her the opportunity to try other camps and she always says no! The staff are so friendly and positive, and they’re responsible. I always feel that my kid is in good hands, which is a huge relief for a working parent who doesn’t always have the option of family or friends for child care. The activities are fun and engaging and staff is mindful of kids staying cool, hydrated and free of sunburn even on the most brutal summer days.

The workout equipment and area are in the best shape. The pool is awesome and always under control. The classes are innovative and modern. The lobby and its area is inviting and inclusive. I can go on and on. It's just a great place with great people.
The classes offered for the Mind & Body studio are great and diverse! Love the yoga nidra, chakra workshops and sound healing. All the yoga instructors are great and the variety of yoga classes are awesome!
The counselors are amazing and are very inclusive no the child‘s background or challenges.

I have been going to the Salem Y for over 30 years. They have updated the building as necessary for the expanding programs for all: children, teens, young adults, adults, and seniors. Their programs and classes have expanded greatly in the past 3, 5. and 10 years.
A lot to offer for a very reasonable price
The building is old, and needs some repairs, but the people (both members and employees) are great. I love tdhe community.

I appreciate that the Y Academy attempted to maintain the routine and normalcy of a school day, while giving students the opportunity for a wide variety of enrichment activities.
