Early and efficient. Carpet looks brand new!

Carpet just wasn't clean.
I got out our portable cleaner, which we had never used and did my small area again. Got quite a bit of dirt out.
I'm too tired to do the other areas again, but plan to in the next few weeks.
Had a small spot on one carpet and asked about it. A bit surprised it couldn't be lifted. The carpet is only 18 months old and the spot less than 2 months.
Wondered if we could add the stairs, but didn't seem like that was possible on short notice. The "brush" then broke at the end of the regular job. I'm wondering if that's the reason the carpet wasn't so great.
Considered adding a few runners, but the price to clean them looked to be about what I paid for them, so not worth it.
Also had less than about 45 square foot living area to clean. Seemed unreasonable to pay the same as a 250 square area. Although it looked like the small area in the bedroom was included even though I was told that wasn't doable without another room fee. So I did appreciate that. Just too bad I had to do it again.
Not anything to be done about it really. Discouraging after paying $300. Won't go this route again.

CARPET UNDER COLD AIR RETURN ON GROUND FLOOR WAS STILL DIRTY CLEANED WITH A BRUSH AND DAMP RAG
The tech was very nice and explained what he was going to do and the extra cost for spot extraction. What I didn't like was the smell of the house after the carpets dried. It should have smelled better than it did. Also, I don't believe all the chemicals were extracted well. All the carpet was 'crunchy' after it dried. The last thing that surprised me was how quick the tech finished, which to me is probably the reason why the smell was there and the carpets still had soap residue in them.
