Classes, nice staff
The facility was clean and the people were very friendly. The slide in the family pool was awesome. I guess the only thing that stopped me from giving a score of 10 is that the family pool starts at 3 feet. Younger children can not just play in the water as in the family pool in New Albany which starts at inches deep.

The people!!! The staff and coaches have been incredible to my 5 year old son, who had been struggling with basketball... he wants to play so much, but has some sensory issues and anxiety holding him back. Everyone from the program director, to the coaches, to parents have been so incredibly supportive and encouraging! We’ve watched him make huge strides and have so much fun in the process!
Character building and competition level
everyone is very friendly and most of the staff know me by name
friendly atmosphere and excellent staff who know the members and greets them by name.
We have a wonderful coach, the practice location is nice, the only downside is that the games are at Barrett Middle which is a bit farther from the Northeast Y.

The instructors are highly educated and very observant as to risks of the clients. All the staff is extremely outgoing and friendly, calling clients by name . Clients are warmly greeted as each one comes through the door. Enthusiasm abounds!! The clients too are very friendly and caring. What a great place to work out and have fun!!
I really like the small gym for the kids and my kids love Calypso Cove.
The NE YMCA is a very clean facility and has a great diversity of equipment and resources. The hours are very accommodating as well.

Staff is nice and facility is clean
We LOVED Maddie! She made the class super fun and relaxed for all the kiddos! I just wish there was another class she could take in between the 1st and 2nd since she has to be 3 before the 2nd class and she is just about to turn two.

Staff smile and greet everyone
when they come in. They bid farewell when you leave. So many options: cardio, strength, swimming, all in a Christian environment.
The childcare is great, and my daughter's swim teacher (Maddie) is patient and fun!

Pickleball
I love that the YMCA staff members make it a priority to know members. They form genuine relationships with the families they serve each day. It makes it fun and easy to belong to the Y knowing that we'll see familiar, friendly faces when we visit!
A particular example of the "above and beyond" care the staff provide happened this week. On Monday, February 10th, around 5:00pm, I picked my children up from the Adventure Center at the NE YMCA. My 8 year old daughter was upset - she had lost an earring during her play and was searching for it. When I asked the staff if they'd keep an eye out for it, letting them know I'd check in the next day to see if it was found, they instead spread out and searched for it. A staff member ended up finding it under the steps to climb up to the tunnel area of the play structure. My daughter's day was saved! I was so touched and grateful for their efforts.
