Great staff who really care about their customers. Superb personalized service. Nice limited selection of bikes so it’s not too daunting to make decisions on what to go with. Really feels like a neighbourhood shop which is more important now than ever.
The staff are very polite and helpful. They are trying their very best to serve the customer and at the same time to maintain social distancing and sanitizing procedure.
I normally use the Kerrisdale location but due to hours of operation I had to come to the West 10th location. The work was great, as usual. My only complaint was the pick up procedure. There was a huge line up that went down and around the block. That is fine, I have no problem waiting in line and did so happily - until people started showing up that didn't want to wait in line and they managed to get immediate service by either approaching an employee or going straight into the store. I had been waiting in line for 1 hour to pick up my bike that had been serviced. I had finally made it to second from the front when a women showed up and approached an employee and said, "I got a notification that my bike is ready for pick up, I don't want to wait in the long line up, can I just pick up my bike." The employee said yes!! I had to speak up and tell him that I was also there to pick up my bike and I had waited patiently for 1 hour. The rules need to be applied fairly and consistently. Waiting in a line is fine as long as everyone has to do the same thing. Perhaps there should be a separate line up for pick ups.

In these challenging times with line ups and shortened hours and short staffing, Jan, who helped me when I dropped off and picked up my bike was friendly, helpful, and also very efficient, However I never felt rushed. And of course I always find that all the staff are knowledgeable.
It's a great bike shop. I've worked with Matt over the past 3 years and it has been a very positive experience.

Happy to be able to pick up orders right now, it was an easy process.
I felt that the person (Matt) who helped me choose my bike at West point cycle really cared about me choosing the right bike for me. Matt didn't push me to buy the most expensive bike or accessories. He educated me on each product he offered me, and that helped me make an educated decision. I would definitely recommend everyone to get their bike from West point cycles.
